Anybody else doing the Headwaters comp?

I'm doing the headwaters comp, still stuck in the junior category though :( This will be my 5th time doing the headwaters comp
 
nice! I haven't done it before, but I am definitely in the adult category. I haven't skied Moonlight yet this year, how is the coverage doing on the headwaters? Is everything doable right now or is stuff still a bit boney?
 
coverage is pretty shitty this year. I'm personally not doing it because the junior category is based on an age curve. So a really young kid who skis straight down with no airs can get the same score as an older kid who skis a really good run. I think i'm gonna go watch the ifsa though, that will be sick regardless of conditions.
 
Is it true that you have to hike up to the ridge instead of riding the lift for the comp? I was thinking of competing but I wouldn't really want to hike up to the ridge.
