hey, i have a pair of white pants, does anyone know if its possible to dye them another color? like is there a certain type of dye you can use? i want to make them some sweet color but i dont want them turning out like crap or something. i know they have waterproofing, but wouldnt the dye really soak in if they were like soaking in a bunch of dye for like a day?

don't think the color will look very smooth. it's probably gonna be some strong colors and some weak colors all over the pant

i thought about it too. ive dyed hats, shirts, and even ski boots and rollerblades, not sure if the nylon would take the dye. only one way to find out...

all you need is RIT DYE and a washing machine. one of my good friends dyed his tan jacket an orange color that looks like its the original color. all he did was put the RIT dye in the liquid detergent part of the washing machine and let the cycle run. it evenly dyed the jacket. the washing machine was in the dorms but he said it didnt ruin it at all.

Ive thought about trying to save money when changing the color of my pants, and Ive wondered how spray paint would work out. . .

yeah it would probably be a bit faster and more even...and a 5 hour soak would be some intense color action.

i want a super bright color, like bright purple, pink, or neon green, so the more intense the better! maybe ill try the wash thing, then if its not bright enough, soak it.
