Any windsurfers/kiteboarders on NS?

We all have our summer sports, mine happens to be windsurfing, although i'd like to get into kiteboarding as well. Anyone else on here?

Looking to buy my own kite and kit soon, instead of borrowing my university's club kit all the time... but its soooooo expensive!

You can get 2 year old kites (Which still fly fine) for 400 used.

No but I'm a paraglider/speedrider so I'm gonna say threads. Interested in learning about other wind driven sports.

And holy shit @ 400 for a kite. I wish... our chutes average around $3700.

That's still a pretty low price. New kites cost 1000+, and close to 2000 the whole setup

Ahhh yeah I hear ya. All said and done ours is $4000+. Pretty crazy IMO that a wind driven sport can be as expensive as a motorsport, ha! So worth it though... never knew a sport could be so peaceful and powerful all at the same time.

me out on the washington coast. i had to give it up though when i moved to germany cause im in like the middle, but i want to go down to spain and kite. i went up to the north sea during a storm and saw len10. aka, greatest kiteboarder ever.
