Any weird trends at your school?

where'd you go to middle school/high school? your profile says you're from ballard so do you go there? i went to garfield so i'm just curious.
 
Not really a trend, but the senior "prank" for this year was to graffiti the school. Overnight some seniors spray painted "Class of 2012" and "Seniors 2012" and shit all over the front and back of the school. I'm guessing that about 500ft of wall had to be painted to cover it up. Along with the seniors' messages there were weed leaves and shit like "Smoke weed every day" in rasta colors. Got covered up real fast and they haven't caught the people that have done it yet. People at my school tend to have anti-school spirit, so I guess that's the weird "trend".

on our last day of school, two of my friends snuck in at 3am and put a traffic cone and an '11 flag on top of an 80 foot steeple (which is like a couple hundred years old). needless to say it was the greatest prank in the history of the school and the guy who climbed it is a legend. he did get expelled and had to pay a fuck load of money to remove it (a crane wouldn't fit in the school gates and a cherry picker was too small, and because the spire was so old they needed a specialist to remove the duct tape) but he still got to do exams so it didnt make much difference since he already had a place at uni. here's a pic:

we got fresh kids (all are white) with true religion pants and a baseballl style T like with the mid length sleeves and then huge fake diamond earings and a fur-hood jacket
Then we got indie hipsters and the girls look like they are wearing their grandmas clothes and the guys have long hair in the front and short hair in the back
also, they all think skiing is gay and for old people
 
People don't actually wear snapbacks that much at my school anymore. It was a very brief trend.

Now it's more dressy and preppy, and expensive. Also the Odd Future type stuff is kind of hot apparently, especially with the girls. They wear more snapbacks and stuff than the dudes do.

And the girls wear a lot of see-through stuff, like all the time. It's not so bad I guess.
 
Nerdy kids picked it up at my school too. In my opinion, there is "cool nerdy" and "annoying nerdy". The people who picked this up are in the annoying nerdy category. It's the kind of kids who get into full out yelling arguments about who's minecraft creation is better. I mean, I consider myself somewhat of a nerd, seeing as I do play Minecraft, watch Dr. Who occasionally etc. , but when it's taken too far and too seriously, it just pisses me off.

This. When I skated I always got sb's. I quit but I still but janoskis because I like them so much. Plus it's a good looking shoe that hardly anyone at school has
 
people wearing wife beaters and tank tops. Oh and all the douchey hockey player jocks grab each others boobs and nipples and play with each others boobs. No joke. Its fucking weird. Some of my friends to it too and its just like "wtf". Oh and they attempt to grow really ugly facial hair, and have mullets. Fuck living in saskatchewan.
 
Never heard of them. Guessing theyre well known for kendama? The shit people can get famous for nowadays...
 
Well at my high school the popular thing was smoking heroin, and I'n not joking what so ever. Everyone also loved raves, ecstasy and being jocks. I was guilty of all of the above except for the jock thing.

Clothes-wise:

Dudes wore tall white nike socks with tall black nike socks over them layered so you could just see alittle bit of the white, and lots of guys drove trucks and tried to be redneck and went mudding all the time and chewed everywhere they went including classes

Girls tried to be rather slutty, wore yoga pants and other assorted tight clothing, jeans from buckle, those stupid hair feather things, and tanned alot. overall not so bad.
 
Not really a trend but a couple weeks ago some kid who is really good with technology hacked the security system. During the first block he played classical music over the emergency system. Also he tapped into the security cameras and put up random videos of kids doing stupid shit on YouTube. He took them down after pretty much everyone in the school saw them even teachers. He is forgot be in deep shit because it is a federal offense but it pretty impressive
