Any weird trends at your school?

i go to Aberdeen University and this is EXACTLY the same. we don't go for tweed in the hockey club, but the rugby boys have a massive boner for it, and they all wear the club tie, blue shirts and light beige chinos with tweed jackets on nights out. i walked past a bunch of them (most of them drunk) once with my friend carrying all our ski stuff, wearing our saga hoodies, tall tees, sallopettes etc and the looks we got from them were priceless
 
I don't think them being trends is weird, I think the fact that everyone at my school looking the same is a weird trend, though. Just so happens that they all are wearing North face windbreakers, Toms, and Sperrys. Yoga pants I love so I'm not going to bash girls for wearing them.
 
I also find it weird that filthy rich bitches at my school buy Toms in like 5 colors and think they are doing good because their proceeds go to buy "third world country kids" a pair of shoes. Yesterday I actually overheard some snob say "OMG, I bought a pair of new Toms today, I'm totally the best because some kid in Africa is gunna get a pair of shoes!"
 
Yeah dude wtf is this shit? The wannabe hipsters at my school play magic all the fucking time and I'm like dude I used to play that game all the time before it was cool...when I was 9
 
also, the whole YOLO thing. its fuckin stupid. quotes of YOLO from facebook:"Getiin swagd out! YOLO!"

"The meaning of YOLO isnt go smoke and drink, it's to go out and do something meaningful."

The last one pisses me off because in the song that made saying "YOLO" famous the talk about getting fucked up. pretty funny.

Kids at my school are all about wearing silly bands and jedi braids, playing pokemon emulators on their Macbooks, posting 40 photos a day on instagram, riding longboards shittily but hating on skateboarders, wearing spirit animal shirts and calling themselves 'gypsies,' and putting dreamcatchers on fucking everything
 
Everyone smokes gross ass parliaments and spirits, chews, or smokes pipe tobacco out of corncob pipes too
 
It's dumb as fuck one of my friends had a sick ass revolving six shooter piece and he decided to go and ruin it by smoking shitty pipe tobacco out of it

Also, to those guys chirping the people who dress like preps - It's called growing up. To me, at some point, you have to stop wearing skateboard shoes and baggy jeans. Why not invest into some nice clothing? I know I recently acquired a taste for for nice clothing and I feel more respectable. Girls also take notice and definitely appreciate a nicely dressed guy.
 
I completely get this but I also think it's hilarious when people think that a polo t-shirt and a pair of khakis makes them look mature. Especially as a freshman, and when you wear jordans with it.
 
There's a difference between dressing classy and dressing like a douche ass prep in a youth-large pink polo, a green argyle sweater vest, and white sunglasses
 
this. but there's a difference between dressing more grown up and buying expensive clothes just because they're expensive. you can tell when kids are literally putting on only the most expensive things they can find. I couldn't count how many times I've seen a kid walking around with a pair of True Religion jeans, limited edition Nikes or Jordans, some Supreme hoodie and a pair of expensive sunglasses and insisting that they're "classy" because they wear expensive clothes.

andd...all the basketball players listen to the most mainstream rap music known to man and talk like their black..it's funny though and most of them are my friends so i don't really mind..
