Any Way To "Unpack" Liners?

My boots fits amazingly for the last few seasons, but this year I'm noticing they're not quite as snug and I'm getting some bad tendonitis in my achilles because of it. I've been cranking the tightness up as much as I can, but it feels to me like the liners are just packed out. Is there any way to "unpack" liners and get them feeling the way they used to? Or am I better off throwing in some footbeds/getting new liners?

My friend once put his liners in the oven to remold them, one worked the other melted a bit. Don't know if this would unpack them or not.

Tldr new liner time

what boots and liners are these? what size shoe do you wear? what size is the boot?

you can try remolding them, getting volume reducing foot beds or even wear extra thick socks, but the bottom line is that it sounds like your shell might be a little bit big. you should not have to deform the boot (by tightening it) to feel like your ankle is locked down.

when i buy shells, i try to get them to fit as close as possible without the liner. on most of my boots, i needed the toe box ground out, and several punches. that way when the liner packs out, my feet fit perfect in the boot. i dont replace liners until ive worn a hole through them or they stink so bad that i cant take them on a plane.

edit: i choose control over comfort. def causes more toe bang if you dont ski right.

unless this is a touring boot, then its nice to have the extra toe room but the liners wear out way quicker.
