Any tricks to getting cheap lift tickets?

Im movin to boulder jan 4th, and I need to save some money on lift tickets before then up here in the east coast. Is there anyway to get cheap ass lift tickets? Do any mtns let you show a college ID for a discount?

I know theres the MEticket thing, but i dont wanna drop loot on that

If anyone knows a way, holler.. thanks
 
pay a 12ish yr old kid like $5 more than the tikces are and have him buy u a junior pass
 
yeah, well one day at powder ridge where i almost got arrested at, different story. I got a kids pass for like 20 bucks, and i was skiing, patrol dude stopped me cause he saw it was a diff color and they tried to fine me like 500 bucks, but i talked my way out of it.

im almost 23 now so i need to start doin shit legally

used craigslist to buy vouchers from people quite a bit, usually can get about half off. seems to work best for early and late season
 
i use liftopia.com alot an i only have to pay full ticket price a handfull of times last year thanks to them...so i would suggest checking their site a few days before a trip and you can usually find some sweet deals....
 
If you are still in college you can get really cheap passes in VT. You would need a letter from your school verifying enrollment though.

There is a gas station in mt snow that sells 3 passes for 40 each I think. Also you could just do some clipping.....not really that big a deal, especially out east where no one else really does it.
 
befriend mountain employees, most of them get discounts on tickets. I got day passes for friends for $35 on weekends and i think $20 on weekdays.
 
the smuggs t bar is free because no one checks it. you can ski their shitty park or cut across through the woods to their small park which is pretty fun but equally as shitty
 
hit me up for a unlimited pass to Mount Snow, Attitash, Crotched, Big Boulder, and Jack Frost for $275. I'm a rep, so i get them that cheap (if youre a student). pays for itself in like 4 weekend visits, with the best parks in the north east, u cant beat it!
