Any tips on throwing a 360?

This year was my first year in park, I suggest practicing a ton of 3's on the tramp, and when you feel comfortable throw on snow. That was what I did, and by the end of the season I was able to 3 40 footers. And don't stop rotating, or else your fucked.

And keep trying even though you might fail some times. More times you do it equals more awareness in the air on skis, which is really the most important thing

1.) Imagine your tails catching the lip as you carve off

2.) Imagine yourself flying through the air out of control backwards

3.) Imagine your head whiplash into the ice

4.) Imagine your goggles and hat 30 feet down the run

It's simple. Hit the jump with your feet about shoulder width apart or so, pop up and then suck your knees up into your chest and keep looking around over shoulder, spot the landing and land.

Set, pop, spin.

Keep your eyes and head up and spin with your head and lead shoulder.

Its all in leading with your head. Many people try to use theirbarms to wind up and whip it rund butnthat genarally mays yourbspin less stable and controlled its definetely all about leading with your head.

This

keep looking for the landing in the air and you will bring it around

your body will naturally open up and slow down the spin for the landing once you spot it.

this is really one of those don't be a pussy and land it kind of tricks.

Practice just on the ground trying to do a 360 standing still.

If you can do more than 180 you got it cause your moving will have more time in the air of a jump.

This. It's the same shit except you do it in the air with skis on.

Just fuck it and huck it. Do it on smaller jumps so that it won't hurt even if you fuck up. Well on relatively bigger jumps it doesn't hurt unless you FUCK UP and fall on your face

I learnt on the biggest jump at our mountain at the time, which was literally 2 feet if that. Didn't hurt when I fell though which was nice, tried at least a hundred times, possibly 2 before I finally got it, just realized falling didn't hurt and that kinda helped. Of course if I had been able to use a bigger jump it would have been easier+more painful

Just throw some corks or bigger spins on the trampoline and it should feel extremely comfortable on snow

practicing on a tramp? It's not a fucking dub cork, dude! how about find a side jump and just try?

I havent been freeskiing long and i only got 360's this season, just go for it, spin hard with your hips and arms, dont lean back too much or else you land back seat, try to lean forward but not too much! at the start try coming off the jump at a curve or angle to make the spin easier and rotation a lot more solid. if you're scared of talking it to a park jump (which is understandable) try it into pow, its really easy that way!

Don't set for a spin at all. If you think about spinning, you won't. Instead, get all the way back on your skis and throw your body backwards. Look for your landing as your skis go over your head. Tuck your knees, spot the landing, open up, and land your first backy.

Oh wait....who called me?

1) ski in with your skis shoulder width apart. 2) get a good even pop off both feet at the lip of the jump

3) spin from your hips and shoulders so your shoulders stay open to the spin the through all of it

4) keep looking over your lead shoulder until you see your landing

5) stop your head from rotating when you see your landing, followed by your shoulders and the rest of your body after that

6) stomp the shit out of your first 360

Solid wide stance coming in. Be nice and deliberate when setting it coming onto the kicker. Get a nice pop, wait until you've cleared the lip and keep looking (and spinning) until you see the landing. if you're being thrown off in weird ways then you're probably spinning too early. If you're not spinning the full 360, you're either not committing fully (don't compensate by spinning too hard, too early). Loads of people get freaked at 180 when learning. Or your not going big enough, if you are spinning happily past 180 and landing on you feet but not straight.

Hard to get, but when you do, it is a gateway trick to pretty much everything. Good luck!

Hey I feel ya. This was my first year in the park after spending my whole life shredding just backwoods. I was nervous as hell trying tricks in the park, especially at Carinthia where most everyone's a great shredder. Start on a tramp, then when you feel comfortable find a little bump on the side of a trail. It's smaller, and doesn't have all the pressure of the park riders watching.

Not a single comment about search bar? What the hell is going on here. Suddently nobody cares about reposts, and skiierman isn't being a good troll either.

pop and set the spin with your head. your body follows your head. keep looking until you see the landing and keep your hands in front of you.

I found when I was learning them that it was easier to do a late or shifty 360. If you know how to do a 180, simply do that half way through your air time, still looking at your landing. Then rotate your head the other way and do your other 180 as you spot your landing and prepare for impact.

This is more applicable when doing it on a bigger jump, but it can also work on small ones too, you just have to do it all faster, haha.

If you simply huck, you might end up corking it unintentionally which will either make you bail or land mad sketchy. Practice dude, and you'll be stompin em in no time!

Learn how to at least 540 on trampoline. Then take it to skis and just huck it and just remember to learn a tiny bit forward you never want to have your weight balanced or learned back.
