So today i took off my boots and socks, to discover that a 3x2 patch of my shin is completely bald. how do i combat this?

my shins are missing hair too. u want to keep hair? or do u just want it to not be irritating when it pulls out? If its the second then just shave ur shins before

i found that it was the sock that was the problem, just wear ankle socks or really super soft knee socks

well that's another thing. i have the dalbello krypton, so...yeah. should be a shinbang issue. i'm stumped. maybe i should just tape up my crying vagina.

or dont buy into the gimmick..

anyway, its normal, its just from the rubbing of your shins against the tongue of the boot as you flex forward...its a common problem among skiers sadly, and im sure its the same with snowboarders

its a combination of your leg sliding against the tongue of your ski boot like hendrik said but also it can happen if your socks slide around on your leg

ya if u ski, properly, as in like, shins forward in ur boots, its gonna happen. it sucks at the begiing of the season when ur hair as grown back over the summer, and it gets all ripped out and hurts. but once its out for hte season, itll be out and shouldnt be of any irritaion. and as far as getting rid of it. i really dont see a way....dont ski?

you could maybe put duct tape or some other slippery stuff on the inside of the tongue of your boots so there is no resistance

dude, i havnt had hair on the back of my calves since the late 90's. its a badge of fucking honour.

move on, there are bigger problems.

haha yeah i have the same probleme. Tho I had it less this year than last year. Im not sure what the reason is. I think if you have a dry skin you lose is much faster than when its normal, so yeah i guess vaseline would work in both ways.

yeah the front of my shins/back of my calf don't really have hair anymore. Now its my hobbit( top of my feet hair ) that is getting ripped off. Not to sound gay, but i just shaved it off. Its fucking annoying as hell so i just took it off. Saves you front pain and irritation.

"Tips on keeping leg hair."

You could keep it in an old Altoids tin. Or maybe a film cannister. Tupperware would also work, or maybe one of those little tiny purses.

Sorry, I'm just bored.

hahaaha...i never thought there would be a thread about this....but yea i dont have like any hair for a few inches up my legs

WTF

are u guys serious

thats why everyone thinks i shave my legs i bet

i didnt even notice that

casts take lots of hair off too

Yea i have the same problem with my foil boots haha..like right down the middle of my shin is a nice bald spot

for me softer boots mean more hair is coming off, more flex=more rippige. never tried different socks but i really don't find that it's painful on my shins, if it was i'd just shave where i knew it was gonna happen. it's a sign you're skiing right, be proud!

boots deffintly don't give a person shibang first of all, there skiing does. secondly, i think its just a thing that happens to some people. i have never had a problem with the hair on my shins, but my friend has the same thing a bald spot like 3 x 2. idk what to tell ya

yo just shave it all off, i do it and the ladies love it, well i get compliments on hairless legs from them.

umm just deal with it. if you manage to get hair back there it'll just hurt again next time you ski and it pulls out. are you so insecure that you cant have little bald patches on your shins?

man im missing a patch of hair on both shins too, but it doesnt hurt at all, or is at all irritating. its just cool.

ya seriously I just shave my shins. I have fairly large bald spots on each leg but at least it doesn't rub and pull out and annoy me
