Any steel boot buckles out there?

I ride Nordica Speedmachine 130s, only problem is the upper 2 buckles are aluminum. I crank my boots so tight that I actually start bending the buckles to the point where they can’t fully clamp and/or just break. Anyone know if there’s a steel buckle I can buy to replace them?

Take a magnet to your local shop and see what sticks. Then retrofit if need be. But also, damn that's a lot of pressure. Have you tried booster straps?

All buckles are aluminum, but not all aluminum is the same. Steel won't be any stronger, it's actually more flexible.

Ask your shop to order the cuff buckles from the Nordica Dobermann series (you'll probably need to order matching toothplates as well). Race buckles are made from a stronger alloy (usually 7000-series) and are a lot stronger than what comes on the Speedmachine.

Got the same boot and had to replace 4 buckles all user error lol got some servolock ones where the shop didn't have matching ones and they've been a lot stronger.
