Any mtns in southern PA have snow yet? I want to road trip this weekend. I don't care if there is one box in setup on a 12 foot patch of man made snow.

Snowshoe mtn WV opens the 25th apparently. I cant wait that long

i know, fuck, i want to kill myself. heres a better question:

should I buy a pass(390) to a shitty mountain (massanutten) that is 3 hours from where I live or a pass(400) to 3 mtns (ski roundtop, whitetail and liberty) that are 5.5 hours away from where I live.

that would be a good algebra question although it is kind of subjective lol.

have car will camp.

Hmm, where are you exactly? Snowshoe closer? I think Whitetail, Snowshoe and Seven Springs are going to be your best bets for the mid-atlantic. Big Boulder is the best park if you can make it to the poconos.

haha dude i live in eastern VA. so south PA and WV are about it as far as decent skiing goes. for nothing but park I can go to Massanutten. Their park is dece but they still call it a snowboard park and people look at you funny when you ride by switch. Its kinda funny actually.

Coming from 5 years of skiing key, breck, etc. all season this is unacceptable...

to be honest, buy the massanutten pass. realistically, there isn't anything work skiing in the souf besides park, and driving 5.5 hours to ride liberty and whitetail is rather rediculous. massanutten park didn't look all that bad from the pics i saw of that pitcrew comp in the spring.
plus, lib and whitetail get rediculous lines considering the hills the lift access. I cannot even begin to explain how many saturdays in high school i spent waiting in 30 minute lines only to take 20 seconds to get back down to the line.

snowshoe has already made a good pile of snow, but its been raining

you can do

wintergreen

winterplace

app NC

liberty in VA

DONT DO BRYCE

shouldnt this be in regional

just stay with your regular mountain. I ski at rountop and it has in my opinion the best park out of the 3 resorts and is still not worth a 5 hour drive.

i wouldnt drive 5 hours for roundtop but its not bad and the park should be really good this year.

Snowshoe is run by idiots obviously. its supposed to be raining for like the next week and they blew on the 19th, what a waste of money that snow wont last.

yo move out or at least to the eastern pa where there are some okay parks...for pa that is. bear creek is good, so it big boulder but i mean thats all i can offer pa blows hard man sorry.

not necessarily..they took an opportunity they had. If anything they were able to test the guns and make sure everything works right.

holy shit, 5 1/2 hours to ski liberty or roundtop? that's dedication man. I used to hate driving there for races.

and to think i bitch about mammoth being 5.5 hrs away.
