Any socal skiers here?

i'm from anaheim hills. Mammoth rules. I actually haven't been to mt high in like 3 years but usually go to mammoth.

how the hell is mountain high an hour from anaheim? i live in santa clarita and it takes me 45 minutes to get up there. i'm at least an hour from anaheim.

 
yeah, i live in san diego. i got a pass at bear, and the ski club here at state rides mamoth a lot.

yea no shit! when i go to mt.high i feel wierd, everyone snowboards, and i do mean everyone... i feel like the odd man out.

i know what you mean. it's kind of cool though because when a skier lands backwards or slides a rail the snowboarders sitting on their ass are like HOLY SHIT! and people yell from the lift WHAT THE FUCK?! SKIERS CAN DO THAT?

another bullshit thing about mtn high is that it's all the bullshit fuckers that think they are hardcore snowboarders even though they go once a year.

 
my thoughts excatly... .i thought i was the only one that thought that, how often do u go up there, i am just getting into jumping and shit, i need a few good guys to follow around...

i went to mtn high once in a while not too often. i'm moving to mammoth in a week or two though so no more mtn high for me.

 
I used to have a 2 and a half hour drive in clear weather and 4-5-6 hour drive if it was snowing hard, now its about 4 minutes to northstar. 15 to alpine and 30 to boriental for night sessions.

yo wads up...i'm working nights this season so that means i'll be cruisin to Mt. High during the day a few times a week if possible. Just starting to get into the newschool scene, 2nd season on my PE's. Hit me up and let's roooll out.

i am down man, i have a season pass, just let me know, i am abusiness owner and can smash out at any given time, i am also new to the newschool scene but have been skking for years! i also have PE's
 
Sharing gas cost this year would be nice. Usually takes one tank up, one tank back. 4 door sedan - 18 gallon tank - you can figure cost from there.

I try to leave by noon on Friday if I can get away from work. Otherwise, I wait until about 7:30 to let the 91 thin out a bit.

Head home Sunday's between 6 and 7 pm. Normally driving solo.

Almost always 4.5 - 5 hours depending on traffic.

I'm a non-smoker. I only have a radio in my car. Feel free to bring any music you like. If you have an MP3 player with the portable FM reciever, that would be good.

as the year gets started, I'll post again. I can take 2 comfortably, 3 if the third person is shorter (I'm tall and have the driver seat all the way back). Large trunk and roof racks.

i have a pass to high and live in pomona. i should make it up at least two times a week this season. i can not wait for snow
 
Thanks. It was a great day and the start of a great weekend. The next couple of days I climbed and skied off the summit of Mt. Whitney.

Always looking for someone who likes finding technical terrain and throwing in some air from time-to-time.

Yo-Yoing the same stuff over-and-over gets boring unless you're launching.

My buddy has a place up there. He lets me stay there most of the time if he's got room. Usually that's the case except over the holidays.

I have the value pass they sold back in April.
 
I have a season pass for mammoth and i'm at usc in LA.. i don'thave a car so i'd be downnnnnnn for rides too.

im down in san deigo, and im super down with ridesssssss. i plan on spending a lot of time at bear, and a few days at mtn high, and a couple at mammoth if i get lucky.
 
If any of you guys live in the valley and are looking for fujatives, theres a shop in Studio City called SkiNet Sports that are selling 04/05 fujatives for $160.00, which is a really good deal for park/pipe skis. Just a heads up.
 
anyone gone skiing yet. i went to mt high yesterday and it was fun one tiny jump and a least 10 rails and boxs set up. hit me up if you want to meet up to ride i am going thursday too

i went to high on friday. It was raining and pretty shitty. I'm going back on monday. i was seriously the only skiier which sucked.
 
ya i am usally the only skier up there too but it doesn't bother me. i might go up monday but am deffinatly going tuesday to mt high
 
just curious why everyone is riding at mountain high and not bear?? i heard mountain high sucks and bear is pretty fun...im looking at a internship out there and possibly moving out in a month...i dont wanna show up and be the only skier that would suck
 
im heading that way for a couple days next week. bear or mt high? would like to meet up with some people to ride at mt high on tue. and wed.
 
high is pretty decent. I haven't been to bear yet but i'm pretty impressed with what high has so far. I'm heading out probably a lot of days next week. Msg me if you're going and maybe we can work something out.
 
Mt High park is pretty good. If it's between Bear or High when it comes to park riding, I'd chose High because its an easier drive from the valley. I know it gets crowded, but so does Bear.
 
yeah socal. woowo. sucks though, i was gonna be in mammoth all winter break btu i need money so im housesitting down here in la instead. will def. makie it up to big bear a few times though. what s snow like ?
