Any ski places in japan without having to go to the northern island

if i do decide to teach i want to live in a place with a balance of skiing and motorsports. i like to drive so i would like there to be tracks near by and mountains.

Appi ski is a big resort close-ish to Sendai, jp. Sendai has some good motorsport events. Api's a decent place and there's a whole lotta BC up a little further north on these sketchy gondolas that pretty much just take you to the top of a mountain without all those silly 'trail' things.
