Any Salomon Representative - Suspect Warranty

First and foremost this is not a hate thread against Salomon. I appreciate what they do for the skiing community and the preformance in some of their skiing products.

If any Salomon Representative could please contact me in regards to a warranty on a pair of suspects it would be highly appreciated. The reason I'm making a form post about this is 4 or more months a go there was a thread about Salomon suspects and their warranty. Basically I bought the pair of skis and after they had broke sent them

in for warranty from my local ski shop. When they got them back they

said that Salomon stated they would not be replacing the skis under

warranty. I had a pair of the 08-09s that did this:

In the thread that was created I was told to contact either of the two Salomon reps who posted (One being the International Team Manager) because both stated the ski should've been warrantied on the spot. So I contacted the International Team Manager and he was very polite and nice in the first message and I gave him all of the info requested, the only problem being I haven't heard back from him. I sent two or three more messages requesting an update as I understand he is probably busy and may have not initially had time to reply, but havent had any reply so far (this being over the span of the past few months). So if its possible to talk to any other representatives about the warranty it would be appreciated.

Also if anyone knows any other reps to contact or ways to go about this your feedback would be appreciated! Thanks for your time!
 
Simply because I worked with my shop who contacted Salomon and sent it to them however they didn't warranty it. In an earlier thread about Suspect warranty that someone else made two reps on here said to contact them through PM and they would be able to help resolve the issue, thus I was just trying again
 
what is your local shop? sometimes a company will not warranty skis from shops that haven't been paying their bills... something that has become rather common practice after this shitty sales year.

try taking your skis to another shop. salomon isn't going to service warranty claims on ns forums. good luck!
 
just curious... but how the hell did you do that?
regardless though, you should get that warrantied.
 
yeah so I have heard. Everybody seemed to love those blue Dumonts from 08?ish. Maby they just need to go back to then haha.
 
Doing a front flip. I landed it fine, a little back seat but I rode out from it, and didn't even know it happened until I got on the rail directly after and noticed my tail flopping around behind me.
 
just a guees here, but does the edge armor created a much stiffer ski underfoot? which would cause a ski to snap like that behind the binding because the tail flexes a lot and between the binding doesnt flex much at all... it looks like the ski snapped at just about the point of where the edge armour starts in the ski..
 
Any ski SHOULD be super stiff right underfoot out a bit past the bindings IMO(and most are). This could have happened with many skis, not just suspects. I did a similar thing to my Chronics the last day of the season here, but a few inches back and not totally snapped like that.

How did you fall to have that happen?
 
If I remember correctly the previous thread was related to a delamination of the suspects which should have been a warranty issue. In your case this is a very obvious break from a back seat landing, which can and does happen to just about every ski ever made. While it never hurts to try again, having it returned once is generally a good indication of the final outcome and I would not be too insistent that you "deserve" to have these replaced.

Yea I know it dealt with that and some edge issues possibly. Wasn't trying to be insistent I was just trying to get a hold of the other Salomon rep who posted since both said the ski should've been replaced on the spot and they weren't sure why Salomon rejected it but they would help to get it straightened out.
 
dang i did the exact same thing to my brand new 08 trouble makers, except got it caught in a box. Dynastar wouldn't warranty it for me but since Getboards.com is completely baller they replaced it for me
