In a mature mind ... I see where this should have gone ! Happy Mother's Day to all you NS moms! I think it's great your on here and being a part of the free skiing culture . We're all here to enjoy the mountains alike! . I'm no young one myself, more NS dad who never wanted to grow up !

NS certainly is wild at times, but its the heart and soul of the freeskiing movement. As with anything on the internet, let the worst things just roll off your shoulders and you'll be fine.

I'm curious - what made you decide to post?

 
Yeah, anyone who "puts themselves out there," whether on the Internet or in public has to expect some flack, especially on a site like Newschoolers. I don't look at negative posters as haters. I think they're probably just 15 year olds trying to be funny. I respect their passion for the sport (which I share) and I believe they'll most likely mature into some pretty great people. The freeskiers I know personally are already great people! As to why I posted, I have become a real freeski fan. Being a gymnastics coach, I know how freaking HARD it is to do what great freeskiers do! (I still can't fathom doing anything unnatty in gymnastics)! So I follow the sport. I love to ski, watch & film. I live stream events when they're not on TV & I watch ski videos on NS (thank you, BTW). I just wondered if there were other Moms doing the same thing, cuz it would be great to communicate with them.
 
Sadly the 15 year olds on the internet are actually usually nicer than the adults. Take a spin over at tetongravity.com for a quick minute, and you will see how angry the adults can be. ;)

Agreed. I did not mean to insult young people (or, specifically, 15 year olds). I was actually just trying to give some of the negative commenters a break. Sorry if it came off wrong. And I do realize that age is no indicator of maturity. I'm actually really stoked on young people. Angry adults? Not so much.

Hahahah, what, I don't know who she is, why should I respect her? she could have been behind the boston bombings for all I know, somewhat unlikely, but you see my point. Yeah I overreacted, but it pisses me off way too much when people are like that, also I'm not 15, and I would have had commented the same thing regardless of how old I was.

And I'm 51 going on........ well lets just say my kids say I'm the oldest teenager they know, so in my case age does not reflect maturity. Although I do know how to act my age, or "mature" when I have to, but that's not nearly as fun! I hate growing old.
 
Morning Robert!! I just want to thank you for all your support you've given me over on NSers. I really appreciate it. I haven't been back to the site since I posted those few replies in my defence, so I don't know what all has transpired since then, but judging my some pm's I've recieved....papa came down on some steezy peeps!! I'll eventually have to go back to the forum, once I've regained some courage. Right now I'm still to embarrassed to do so. I have come up with some real steezy user names for myself. I may have to pm you to get your opinion LOL!! Have a great day!

I always thought NSers was the name to name members on the site.... Like for example "hey look at all those kids in the park, I bet thy're NSers"

Not like "Hey man do you go on NSers skiing forum" .... But "Do you go on newschoolers?"
