whats up? long shot but i want to see if there is any other military on here and what branch and shit. i'm in the navy currently stationed in gulfport, ms

my best friend is in the navy, but hes getting kicked out, my great uncle and aunt who are the shit live in diamondhead, miss, though, I always fly into the gulfport airport when i visit them

im looking to join the air force. im a jr in highschool so once i get out of highschool im going straight into the airforce.

hes getting kicked out cause hes a stupid motherfucker and he tested positive for blow, and then OC, and after all that he almost got arrested in seattle (hes at some base in WA) for being hammered underage and the police had him in a paddy wagon and called his C.O. and decided not to arrest him after they talked to his C.O. basically hes crazy and I told him he would never last 4 years in the navy cause he parties too much and he didn't listen, he just got bored like 6 months in and started doing drugs, which is retarded because he got tested randomly (as you know)

damn man. we got some legal shit we fucked with, its a little military secret. but damn man thats stupid as fuck. just do your time

Im hoping that I can get my back in good enough shape to join, then I will join the Air Force. Most likely I'll goto college first then join.

*My whole family is air force

I'm in Army ROTC in college currently. Not sure what I want to branch after graduation. Intelligence, maybe.

everybody hates everybody. its stupid. have a buddy in the marines who talks shit to any other branch. hes had a few bottles broken over his head becasue of it...

thats whats good. i'm hopin to go out there after my next deployment.

shit we don't hate every branch but we do talk mad shit in the navy but when it comes down to it, one team, one fight. the motherfuckers you gotta worry about is the marines in the bar. shit, around here the air force jump people too, its lame as fuck

Used to be,

3rd RAR australian army, served in afganistan then was honerably discharged after breaking my leg and getting it pinned, spent 3 years in the army, glad im out but it was a good job, and good experience.

i wanna join pretty bad... soph in highschool... i feal like my nation has done so much for me the least i can do is serve my country and join part of the military .. also with the economy it seems like i will always be able to serve easily

man its not even like that. joinin the navy has so many positive things about it. man i don't even want to sound like a recruiter right now cause it don't matter to me if you join for a few years or not. but i think every guy should think about servin this country for 4 years. get to see a lot of places and a lot of other good shit. let me know and i can get more in depth with the good part of being in the navy

I like what the military represents, the only problem is, it's a load of bullshit. With the exception of ROTC, everyone i've met that's in the military is a total scumbag. My personal favorite are the marines who get married at 19 and crank out a kid or two before they're deployed... so fucking irresponsible.
I'm not saying everyone is like this, I'm sure there is some honor left in the military. I just have yet to find it.

na man not everyone is like that, trust me. a lot of people say that and told me don't come back an asshole like everyone else. shit i'm myself and haven't changed. people do get married young and shit happens and they pump out children and it does suck. a lot of bullshit does go on but fuck man. don't have that streotype

im going to the air force academy next year. hopefully pilot school after that then to fly fighters.

Smail is there right now in his 2nd year i believe

i have 2 years left of school if i dont take any more time off and then i may try for warrant officer in the army so i can fly. still up in the air though. i can say goodbye to skiing while im in iraq

most the regs i came into contact were a bit shit (regs are regular infantry) and no offence but alot of the american natinol guard (we were on base with them in kandahar, which is australias headquarters in afganistan) were mainly pricks who just wanted to shoot shit, but with most millitarys the upper forces (marines, seals, berets, in my case 3rd RAR (paratroopers), and the sas which is one step above my old unit) they have thier head on straight, and are alot more proffesinal dealing with enemy combatabts and local population.

for that reason i really did not like working with the US millitary much except for the airforce and the navy seemed ok, but my unit pretty much had nothing to do with regs when working in the forward operating bases, they are untrained, unmotivated and unproffesinol.

of course there are exeptions to that rule and nearly all of them deserve your respect.

Eh, marines are all like that. They think they are the best for sure. I have a few marine friends who thought that until going to tech school, they know wish they joined the air force or coast guard. But, everyone all agrees and makes fun of the Army as it is the lowest class branch there is (no offense to anyone, I greatly respect anyone no matter what branch they served)

And the SAS would shit on pretty much anyone,
Someone above mentoined coastguard, im hopring to transfer after afew years of WSOP to be a winchman (similar to the coastguards rescue swimmer) for the RAF seaking SAR force, should be good.

I just joined the WY Air National Guard. I live in CO but Im based out of Cheyenne. Its pretty dope cause there paying for me to go to CU boulder so I can ski all the time.

there is full command sweeps like 3 times a year. random days they pick like half the battallion to do drug test which happens like once every other month. and every work day, 25 names i believe are picked for drug test by a program. so you can get tested like 3 days in a row or not get selected all year, its crazy. back in school, i got chosen 2 days in a row then the following monday, i was like wtf lol. its not worth the risk but people still get caught.

yea deff sounds like it. I only work the first of every month cause I havent gone through basic yet so i doubt ill be screened until im done with basic and technical training. Im deff. going to figure out the system though before I actually do anything. thanks for the input.

dude don't fuck around with drugs after u signed up. that will be the stupidest mistake of your life man. you will be screen first night of basic, and probably in basic. then in tech school upon arrival and they do randoms everyday too. then when u go to work. they even will call u in to drug test while you reserves.. don't fuck up what u got going for yourself. i can help you get high without it and it don't show up. dude, don't fuck up. do your time man and enjoy college without weed man. and be careful with alcohol. military is no joke dude. be 100% comitted or not at all, ya dig? just lookin out for you
