Any one know about fiderglass?

so i am making my own skis and i have run into a problem... i have ordered all the materials besides the composite layer.. i am going as cheap as possible for the first three skis then after that i tweak the design. i want to use fiberglass for the composate layer but i dont know what kind is better woven or non woven?

please dont hate i just need help,

I have never made skis, but I have glassed skis for ramp many times. Use woven, it is super easy to lay and way less messy. I tried using unwoven fibreglass once and just made a mess, it was uneven and the fibreglass delaminated.

yep go for the triaxial. If your cores are vertically laminated that provides the strength in the directions you need it.

FTW.

I go to an engineering school and i'm in an enterprise where we build snowboards and wake boards, but we use triaxial braided glass for most of our stuff.

what KyleA said 22oz triaxial. one or two layers across the entire ski and maybe a few more layers on the footprint for better binding screw grip.
