Any NS peeps serious about golf?

it amazes how far people on the internet can hit the ball. rarely do i play with anyone who outdrives me. yet so many of you stripe it 300+ everytime.

even tiger would wishes he could do that you fucking liars.

who wants to claim theyve never had a 3 putt?

New that was coming. I'm too poor to pay for expensive golf. Real poor.

So maybe a driving range or if you're in upstate ny come to the lake pleasant golf course. It's like 15 bucks for all day. Never said 300+ every time either ya fucking communist.

I'll show you how its done. Fuck maybe somebody can lend me a camera so I can post this shit. I'm the fucking man at happy gilmour swings.

Haters can suck it.

I'm rick james bitch

Also needed to dub post.

Just because you can't throw down with the big boys means no one else can?

It's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car. You better learn that.

its not hard to hit a ball 300 nearly every time. im willing to bet most pros lay off their drives and could reach back for something to push it way over 300 yards if they wanted to.

but hitting the ball far is lame if you cant score from where you end up. trust me i know.

never.just kidding i had 2 three putts and a 4 putt en route to a smooth 75. 5 birdies and i couldn't capitalize -________________________-

thats why i said striping it. as in hitting it perfectly straight. if any pro could hit his drives 300ish perfectly straight every time they would win nearly every tourney.

of course they lay off. tiger can hit an 8 iron like 230.

i fully agree, bros on here claiming distance are either

a)lying

b)have shitty short games

c)all of the above

and abortionator. i wasnt talking about you. happy drives are fun, mine normally end up with a big ole hook

Lol.

My dope ass happy gilmour swing is the tits. You're just jealous that you don't know the secrets to my carefully practiced and perfected, top secret methods. Perfected in a bunker lab in the desert.

Also... As far as the rest of gold goes I did you to be fairly decent. Played At least a few holes a day from may- october and about 2 full rounds a day all summer for years.

I'm sure my iron game is trash by now. I bet I could still tear it up with my short game if you gave me a little practice.

They didn't call me johnny texas wedge for nothin.

brutal man. absolutely brutal. 5 birdies is really good though.

ive had one 4 putt that i can remember. par 5, had an eagle putt. sent it like 20 feet by. 3 putt in. it was painful

Pro's are insane.

I average around 280 on my drives. Occasionally I'll get some that get get around 300-310, but thats maybe one per round. The thing is, I rarely use my driver as most courses I play aren't really long enough for me to use my driver. I LOVE my 3 hybrid and hit it really well around 240 yards, which usually sets me up better than my driver on most courses/holes.

Word. Well I felt like I needed to defend it. I've spent far too much time perfecting it to let the internet destroy what I've built.

I miss the days of racing around the shitty courses with the governors off and just blasting around. Doing donuts that took up half the fairway. Starting off great then getting too drunk and completely blowing the best game ever into a fuck it don't you dare right down my score anymore round. Golf is a good sport.

I don't think you were talking about be because I didn't really claim a ton of distance, but I don't hit a straight ball. The only clubs I hit straight are my wedges and 3-wood. Everything else i hit a draw with and I have negative zero driver consistency so I can't even say what direction I hit that in. I just have no real consistency enough to put a great round together. I can make shots like a pro and my shortgame is bombassdankassskankassfromupnorth, but I could hit a 305 drive then shank the next one.

I take golf extremely seriously. Play alot, lessons with the head pro at local TPC yada yada.

So far this year index is a 2.6.

Clubs.

Adams Fast 12 LS 8.5* w/UST VTS black 6x

Mizuno MP 650 13.5* w/Fubuki Tour 83x

Mizuno MP 650 17* w/Fubuki AX 450hx

Irons - Bridgestone J36 Combo with PX 6.0 4-PW

Probably upgrading to Adams CMB with C-Taper X in the near future though.

Wedges. Mizuno MP-R12 51*, 55*, 59* w/DG Spinners.

Putter - I switch between two, custom black ox TP Mills Softtail, 33.5 inches, black PVD shaft and a superstroke. Or else a Taylormade Japan centershafted Itsy Bitsy spider, black shaft, head, and grip.

I play Callaway Hex blacks this season. Hit me up if youre ever in the midwest.

FYI average swingspeed is around 114. Peak 117-118.

Last summer in Men's League at my home course in MI I was a 4 handicap, but this summer I am working in the oilfields of North Dakota so I've only played a few times. In the bag: Driver-Ping G10, 3W-Ping Rapture, Irons-2-PW Titleist DCI 990's, Wedges-Vokey 52, Cleveland 56, Putter-Ping Anser.

I am currently looking to buy a newer set of Irons. I like my Titleists, but I am looking for something newer. If anyone is selling a good set of RH steel stiff shaft Irons, hit me up.

Btw alot of people think they drive it 300 or say they bomb the ball. Often that is not legit GPS measured. I play with alot of kids who think they hit it past me, and I end up 75 yards past them. I get over 300 a few times a round, but average 290. Yesterday we Gps'ed one at 322. Ive only played with about 3 people that hit it as far as I do on a consistent basis. However, alot of people score better than I do. Its all about how you use your strengths to your advantage.

I'm now captain of the golf team at my school so during the season i play like 6 days a week, it's amazingas for my clubs I dont love them but I dont hate them

titliest D1 driver, can't hit it

tour edge 3wood (pretty nice) usually hit that off the tee

tour edge exotics irons 3-p, I can hit them decent

tiger woods edition nike wedges

scotty cameron putter (amazing club)

im around a 12. R11 driver, Callaway razor X 4 hybrid, ping green dot irons, white hot putter. I shot my low round of 80 yesterday and an 84 today.

Well the green was 315. And my ball was straight.

" However, alot of people score better than I do. Its all about how you use your strengths to your advantage."

I hear you. My strengths were blunts, LSD, and shitty beer. I was pretty good at using them to my advantage. May not have ended up with the best score, but I sure as fuck had a good time.

Although you gotta be careful. Apparently you can get pulled over by off duty cops in a golf cart traffic stop. You've been warned.

#YOLO

Darn mobile again sorry for the triple post so here are my clubs driver: tommy armour silver Scott 10.5 3 wood: taylormade burner super fast 2.0 with a xcon stiff shaft irons: Taylormade rac os 3-pw wedges: taylormade rac 52 and a warrior 60 putter: odyssey white hot xg #1 (blade style) with a super stroke fatty grip

played 18 today, did alright. pretty much if i shoot +18 on a round of 18 that is a solid day

some solid bogey golf

I wasnt referencing you in that post, I didnt read anything in this thread before I posted. I literally dont care what anybody puts on the internet about what they hit, Im a very active member on a golfing forum as well, never bash distances because for all I know they do hit it. Fuck, Im 5'10" and 165 and I still crank the distance way out. Nobody would guess that by looking at me. As to the latter part of your post, I have no fucking clue what youre rambling on about.

OK so here's my golf story for tonight (you'll also see this in the 'I'm drunk' thread). Myself, *bird and another fellow bro went out to our local golf course at around 1 and chilled there, passed some bowls, fired up the hookah and slammed brews all on the 17th green. It was insanely chill. Like not even describable chill. I highly recommend it doing it someday at your local course.

I dont know about you guys, but my brothers and I and a couple buddy's have started getting our own little captains choice tourneys going. Like each of us bet 5 bucks a round. It makes it fun and really competitive, and makes it more of a team effort, rather than a individual score. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

O and some of you mentioned ranges.

Driver - 285-300 avg.

3 wood - 230-250 (depending on how hard I want to swing)

5 wood - 200-220 ^

4 Iron - dont use

5 iron - 190-200

6 iron - 180-185

7 iron - 170-175

8 iron - 160-165

9 iron - 150-155

pitch - 145-150

GW - 120-130

52 - 100-110

SW - 90-100

60 - anything under 80

11 handicap, for a driver I play a Cobra S3, irons I have some TaylorMade R7s that need to be replaced and for a putter I have an Odyssey 2 ball V line. For next year I'm thinking about getting a set of these

Been playing golf seriously for about 2 months now

I'm a 20 year old college student.

Best I've shot was an 89 last saturday, and today I shot a 99

Driver-TM Burner SF 2.0

FW-TM Burner SF TP 2.0

Hybrid-TM Burner SF 2.0

Irons-TM Burner 2.0 4-P

Wedges-TM RAC TP Z 52*,56*,60*

Putter-TM Ghost FO-72 34"

Yes, I am a TaylorMade fan :)

my 9 year old cousin qualified for junior pga ny state thing in the 14 and under division. he shot a 42 on the front 9, dont know about the back. tha fuck?

first off i'd like to point out that Tiger hits his driver over 300 yards on average. his Tour driving average is under 300 however because he hits so many shorter clubs off of the tee.

but i havent really kept a handicap recently. the summer going into freshman year i got myself down to a 3.6 handicap, and since then i havent really been playing as much.

in the bag:

9.5 Burner 2.0 stiff. callaway 3 wood, forget what model (stiff), Mizuno MP-32 blades P-3iron, cleveland cg15 52 and 56 gunmetal, or an old Tour Action 900 56 depending on what i feel like. and then a RAC tp 60 gunmetal. and then just a cheap but satisfyingly effective putter.

i'd assume i'm around the 8 handicap range now with how much i've been playing.

Question: I've even using my grandpas clubs for the past 5 years. I love em to death and am extremely comfortable to the point I know how to hit every single club even though they are the same series. How much does newer technology have on new clubs? I've only really played with my own. These must be 15 years old. I love em but from what I hear new technology has really changed the game for clubs.

Lofts are stronger, lie angles more upright, shafts longer and lighter and heads have higher MOI and probably COR. You will hit a given newer club further but not necessarily better. If you're liking what you've got I'd stick with them, however, if new clubs are going to make you want to play more then it's a no brainer

serious? no. do it a lot? yes. I have female callaway big bertha irons and callaway driver with some king cobra fairway woods along with a baller callaway cart bag-- But like I said, I am not serious about it and am not very good. I want to get some hybrids.

your fault for standing in the wrong place? Also there are good female golfers...and I can't imagine how you were hit with a ball off a drive and this wasn't 100% your fault.

i know some good female golfers and a few that would kick my ass easily. but as for getting hit, this wasn't one of those super good girl golfers and i couldn't have been more than 20 yds away and 20 yds to the left of her while she was trying to hit a ball and after about 5 misses i decided to stop watching and address my ball, then i hit and turn around then hear "oh shit" with some laughing and she had hit a worm burner off the heel of her club and it came straight for me bounced up and hit me in the butt. it was kinda funny but still wasn't the best feeling pat on my ass ever either. so basically it was like 20% my fault for being downrange but had she hit it remotely straight i wouldn't have been close

how come your drive only went 20 yards off of the ladies tee?

lol. i kid i kid! i hear ya, she sounds bad.

.....you caught me hahaha, i was playing from the championship tees 315 yds back of course...duh! hahaha. i think thats why i was in front of her, so i could just hit mine and pretend it never landed there haha

lasers are preferred by better players because they are more versatile and dont require preloading, and arent affected by weather (gps units sometimes cant detect a sattelite in cloudy skies). they can laze off bunkers, trees, creeks, just about anything. gps' are easier to use and are usually preferred by less serious golfers.

bushnell is the best of the best. the tour guys mostly use bushnell. a hunting one will do just fine, i have a v2 (golf) one thats like 200 or 300 right now just about anywhere you look. doesnt get mch simpler than that.

if your playing tournaments stay away from the slope lasers. not legal for tournaments.

Ive been playing for quite a few years now, i work at a course so i play for free, only way i can afford it! I am really struggling this summer but im right around a 7-8 handi. nothing better than going out with some buddies and gambling on a game of golf

Clubs-

-Taylormade superfast

-old callaway steelhead 3 wood

-titleist 695 2iron

-cleveland cg7 tours

-ping sw

-vokey gap

-2 ball putter

I LOVE my irons, and they look pretty sexy

i am a +2 handicapper which if you dont know is better than scratch...but ive played since i was 5 and im 20 now im as serious as anyone im looking to go pro im giving up skiing and moving to florida in january to pursue golf full time.whats in the bag:Ping i15 Driver 9.5 degree proforce v2 shaft 76 gram stiffping g15 4 wood same shaft except 85 gramsno hybrid thats pussy shitTaylormade tour preferred mc forged irons (1 degree upright) 3-PW dynamic gold s300 with new decade grips one extra wrap64, 58, 52 degree sm4 usga approved titleist vokey wedges (with custom bounce )i switch putters quite often but right now i have the odyssey black series prototype #1, titleist scotty cameron newport 2 custom colored with green and white, and a ping craz-e i play titleist pro v1s only
o yeah and to claim it off i play with a lucky TAG HEUER sport watch that was given to me by a family friend who got it from tiger woods a few years back. It has his signature engraved in it and everything its pretty sweet
end claim!

I have an average drive of over 300. I'm not lying at all. I don't check with GPS's and about half of them are decently straight. So none of the above.. My short game isn't too bad either, I just have really inconsistent rounds. One day I shoot really good and bad.

And you should change your name back.

headed to veagas tomorrow to paly wolf creek and falcon ridge in mesquite friday and desert pines in vegas on saturday. and of course, party on the strip friday night. so pumped
