Any one here get a bad injury during the last days of your season? Yesterday (the day before my mountain closes) I over shot the hell out of a jump and my ski didn't eject. Twisted my ankle and fucked my growth plate and muscles. Anyways, post your last minute injuries.

i got a concussion, whiplash, and pulled a muscle in my leg. i was eating a waffle while skiing at stratton. stopped paying attention to anything but the waffle and got going way too fast and caught an edge. saved the waffle.

broke my wrist but still gonna Ski the days at a-bay and take it easy until everything closes. Cause it's a minor fracture.

a buddy of mine overshot on his last day and got 3 compressed discs in his back ...they had to airlift him straight out of the park ...

my buddy broke his collar bone last week. It was my last day on the slopes i think. I went for 9 with plans on hurting my self, but got it, that was nice. No injuries this year. *knocks on wood*

I knocked my 2 front teeth back to the roof of my mouth. I hit a cliff to flat and my head hit my knee.

I now have my teeth wired in

some how managed to land on my face on a 270 onto a down rail and cut up my chin and gums do to braces

managed to slide a dfd rail on one ski and one knee

Overall EPIC WEEKEND

looks painful!! ahhhh i hate mouth injuries.
Mine isnt really a last minute injury... i messed up my knee back in January when i was working on loops and finally went to the doc on thursday (because it was getting worse every time i would re-tweak it skiing or working out) and she assigned me to 3wks of PT and if it doesn't get a whole lot better i will be in the operating room.. yay.. NOT! Keep your fingers crossed for me that i wont need surgery : /

Did you get an MRI? thats odd they're just doing PT before deciding if you need surgery, they should be able to figure that out easily...

overshot a 45 to pretty much flat and i think i got a concussion, and i might have broke my ass. it was closing day

My friend overshot a jump on a really soft day. He double ejected and landed on his poles. Broke both thumbs

A tree jumped out in front of me and I banged my shin up pretty good. Twice its normal size and turning purple and blue, really hard to get a boot on right now, but should be ready to go on my trip to Jackson on Wednesday though

took a jump a lil too big, got scared and started flailing in the air and landed smack on my front left side. 2 broken ribs... good thing it was the last day of my season

was skiing switch, caught an edge and knocked my head. pretty sure i have a concussion, i'm going to the doctors later today

Try a 360, my ski pop out in the middle of my rotation. Landed on the brake on my thight and i was bleeding. Still skiing.

Yeah, just had one done today... When i went in last week they didn't have me scheduled for an MRI so i went back today.. Torn meniscus and partial tear of mcl. They still want me to try PT for month. Hopefully it works!

Dealing with a possible knee injury.

Ran into a tree two weeks ago after my ski detached when I hit a bump.

Knee had swelling and was diagnosed as a hamstring strain. I think its something more so I'm going to the doctor (orthopedic) tomorrow morning for x-rays and further examination. Can still ski on it though.

I broke my arm a month back in February, caught my edge on a box and just happened to land badly. I got surgery and had two 6 inch pins put in my arm that I just got out Friday, hurt like a bitch, but luckily we seem to be having one of our longest seasons in a long time, going to the hill tomorrow just to cruise and film, then going to a mountain to ski pow later this week.

The average person doesn't need some of those things in their knees to work well to go about their lives, and so doctors will recommend PT. If you don't go to a sports specific ortho that truly understands your lifestyle, you won't be getting it straight - so I would make sure your doctor knows what sort of sports you do and really knows his shit from a sports standpoint before waisting any more time with PT if you are going to need surgery!

Hey thanks! I really appreciate the advice.. I will definitely look into finding a good ortho that is sports specific.. unfortunately i don't live in a large city and we don't have the best doctors here.. so maybe that means ill need to check into going somewhere else! Thanks again.

tore ligaments and tendons in my thumb..in a splint for a week and then a cast for some time

still gonna ski tho
