Any good ski shops in chicago

vertical drop in st. charles isn't too bad. they have a small selection of twins(from what i can remember from last year.).

viking is good, and so is scandinavian ski shop in glenview. They gave me a pretty good deal on skis and boots, adn they are really nice over there.

i went through a custom boot fitting at viking. they spent four hours fitting me, went through every boot in the place, custom beds, etc. dropped 5 bills. they're pretty cool there imo.

i'll probably end up getting new skis there at the end of the season or early next season. the ski selection seemed fair for a flat, land-locked area like ours in chicago. i saw lines, all k2, scratch, and some other freeskier type boards, armada maybe?.

and of course they had the huge race section bashing you right in the face. you know for when you want to wear 2 pieces of 210cm sheer titanium and straight line a 50 degree ice slope.

I like Scandanavian, teh people there know what theyre talkin about and they have a pretty good selection.

i like viking, they gave me a good deal on skis because i showed them an ebay add that had the skis for cheaper than they had them for, so they gave me the deal. they also had a good inventory of skis, bindings, and boots.

dude thats not cool, putting a store up against ebay, its just not fair. ebay doesnt have to maintain an inventory or pay people to help you get the right stuff. always support your local shop if you can otherwise before you know it we're going to be buying our shit from walmart
