Any good places to find used ski gear?

I love skiing, but hate how expensive it is. I have been browsing the web in search for a new pair of ski pants, but the options are very limited. For the most part I only find wacky, snot riddled pants, someone's mother is trying to dispose of.

For context, I live in Norway, and have been looking through the more popular online second hand markets.

How do you guys acquire ski gear without burning through your wallets? Does anyone have some good recommendations? Either online or physical skiing markets(???).

Thanks in advance!

Facebook marketplace is solid, also ski specific buy/sell groups on FB are full of proper gear, you just need to find the right groups

If you are in aspen at the end of october we have the ski swap. Other mountain towns probably do something similar too. Ive missed it 3 years in a row but this is the year Ill remember to check it out.

Second hand stores are generally a good place to start.

Here in the UK we have TK Maxx which usually has smoking deals on outerwear when they have it in stock. They have overstock or last years name brand stuff for good deals.

Like mentioned above, Facebook marked place is a good place too. I may have a few extra pairs I could maybe part with depending on what size/color you are looking for. Snot and beer stains included, lol.

weird how it sounds like the exact same store but it's called TJ Maxx here in the US

I don't know where in Norway you live - but norwegians loves Åre (because it seems like half of Norway go skiing there)

And in Åre there is a second hand shop (Mountain Recycle) focusing on only high quality good condition outdoor-/ski clothing and gear.

But no matter how many norwegians go to Åre I guess it's a long shot

It is!lo When we found it my wife was like we have to go check it out. Sure enough, same kind of store, just a K instead of a J.

In Australia we came across a Target but it was spelled Target.(period at the end) So we started calling it Target period, lol.

Snowshare on instagram

Ditto the Localssale name drop above^^^...it's a shame hella newbs know about snowshare now and they just try flipping gear for pretty much retail. It's nice when you are scrolling through the posts tho and see a real1 trying to hook up people with gear for cheap. That's the way it should be smdh

eBay has a lot of really quality older outerwear (like north face) for cheap. You can search by your size and shit too. I'm not sure what's available around Norway but I would imagine you could find some stuff there at least.
