Honestly crotched mtn had a decent 3 jump line not sure if it will survive the rain but it was pretty proper

Ngl hate killington’s park right now. It’s a good 2-3 features shorter then normal (total hits per lap) and most rails are tiny flat tubes. Not it rn imo

I honestly have the opposite take rn it's my go to

Average base depth must be at least 6" less than last year at this time. Gotta be tough to sink massive rails in the ground with a 10" base depth and rails practically getting rained out every weekend now. Even carinthia pretty weak imo

Pretty sure we were in an eerily similar situation last year around this time.

East Coast parks don't see their full potential until late January these days, unfortunately.

I heard carinthia was miserable today lol

everyone’s so impatient this year, last December was wet, and march we got hit hard. Hopefully this keeps all the Jerrys at bay

march only got hit hard in vermont. Here in quebec we got 2cm of snow from that.

Thats dope Bush has got 62 features rn, especially when they have had a reputation for a short park season. Stuck at 18 here at loaf for now, hoping it stays cold enough this week but snowmaking is slow going with temps being above 20 during the day

Low key bush parks looking fire rn and top on the east coast? Vail butchering carinthia this year imo, bland and lacking resets

gunstock got potential their jumpline is the best it's been for a whileeeeeeee and the other half is being worked on. bush looking heat as always

can you give me a breakdown of carinthia this year? you can keep it as general as you want haha thanks

this weekend they had prospector (wood rails and some features) and fools gold (smaller park) fully open, and gulch had the first half of the rail section open and none of the big jumps. Nitro had absolutely nothing on it right now, but I'm pretty sure they're putting in new features this weekend or next weekend.

thanks man!

huh? There was over 2' of natural base at Mount Snow over MLK weekend and seemingly even more now

2' of base is nothing, the knuckles of nitro jumps are like 15-20 feet tall lmao

Natural snow base does generally reflect a mountain’s willingness to make snow in the park vs other trails though

Genuinely don't think it would be financially responsible to blow snow in the park while you're claiming a 17" base for the entire mountain. Also it's currently raining so they can't blow anyways

If you're in PA come by roundtop. We got two jumps rn and I think 4 or 5 sets of rails, plus our j bar park. I haven't been out since the latest set but I'll give a better report tomorrow.

Nothing setup on nitro, re-set just finished on gulch, half a dozen features in prospector and half a dozen mini features/rollers jumps spread down fools gold

Ya five sets of rails. First set has a c rail and a flatbar with a kink at the end. Then two smallish jumps followed by a cannon rail, downrail and butter box. Next set has a waterfall, down-flat, and rollercoaster box. Next set has a staple, a mellow rainbow, and a metal down box. Final set has a flat down, 40 ft tube, and a up-down box. Pretty sweet setup

Sugarbush wins park of the East by miles, people just need to vote for them instead of woodwurd chillington

sleeping on Okemo. the lift that gives you access to the park usually never has lines. plus they have a t-bar. good set of jumps, new rails are about to be put in the zone, and the pipe is up

Being at Okemo makes me want to leave immediately cuz of the amount of gapers in the park almost dying at any given moment

I like being able to rip the mountain to the park unlike carinthia..the park scene is very wack though, as mentioned above stupid amount of gapers, a core group of boarders and that’s pretty much it

Does Bush actually never win awards for their parks? That's kinda hysterical. Bush on top this year I can't lie

Wouldn't be surprised if carinthia doesn't open the farm...new nitro setup is fun but if they don't add more rails in the lower section it's bouta get played out, also the link through lower fools is hella depressing lmao

Yes somehow killington wins, probably cuz they summon a whole bunch of bots to vote for them. Meanwhile bush park crew are some of the most dedicated bunch to build parks. They’re still adding features to big park somehow, but let’s let them keep cooking.

Have they been even opening the farm in any recent years? That was my local before I moved and post covid I feel like they never even opened it again or at least never had any of the cool stuff the used to on it

i went to peace park last week, it's honestly really not that good compared to what bush has. Bush has so many possible lines and Peace park has maybe 10 rails. Don't get me wrong it's great but bush has 80+ features.

I work/go to college at killy and still bought a mount Ellen only pass. I go at least once a week if not more lmao

Odds east coast making it to early April?

Aren’t yall about to get a storm that could yield anything from an inch up to 2 feet? Winter isn’t done yet.

the early spring y’all have been seeing looks far from ideal though for sure, praying for yall

Looking closer to an inch with lotsa water now. Up at loaf we might get a sloppy 7-9in it looks like but then warm again and more rain next week. This seasons been terrible, we’ve got most of our parks still open but just barely and everything is brown from the flooding back in December getting mixed in :(

Hitting upstate NY on the 14th, got 3 days to ski. Who's got the best parks rn? Any good progression/medium-sized parks? Biggest jumps? Cheers.

Best bet is probably whiteface..or zip over the border to vt if you are very far east

I daytrip 4 hours to Snowshoe and 4 hours back every weekend, very down to travel to spots like Killy or Bush if the setups are firing.
