Any good games out there?

looking for either an xbox or pc game that i can have some fun with. nothing too involved. my days of wow and that kind of crap are long over. i do like rpg style games though. something where you get to set up talent trees, pick a path, play in an open world. i really liked borderlands for that as an fps, but havent really been able to find anything of the sort lately. what's out there?
 
i'm playing Far Cry 3 right now, super fun. also pretty challenging because i'm not the best at shooter games.

they put a shit ton of detail into it. combat is crazy fun, and the setting is an off version of early 1900's america. the entire thing is really well put together, it's definitely one of the best games i've played
 
I haven't played any Bioshock game do I need to play series or can I pick up the game and be fine?+
 
Global Operations. probably the best online multiplayer first person shooter ever made. sucks it's a bit glitchy sometimes, but the game is over 10 years old.

I was ranked 2nd in the world at the end of last month /claim. although there were only about 100 people who played last month..
 
hmm I always thought one of far cry 3's biggest flaws was being too easy...honestly the game, IMO, gets no more than a 6.5/10
 
this, so much better than any other game. You can move to whatever place, do whatever you want. If you want to do challenges you can still do them, but it's just a cool game since you can be so creative.
 
Oh I forgot about one of my favorite games ever!

Check out Just Cause 2 one of the best games to just mess around in. You can basically roam a giant island with a parachutena grappling hook. And you can steal any vehicle. Sooooo fun
 
anybody know anything about rift? ive always liked wow style games that arent wow because wow got awful.
 
Played the second Borderlands? Bigger and better than the first.

The new Lara Croft game is pretty fun. A little scripted, but has skill trees and adventuring. I really enjoyed it.

Probably should finish it.
 
Rigs of Rods

Free open source game to fuck around in for PC, just drive around in a wide variety of vehicles, and crash them, because it has a solid physics engine.
 
Man that has been in the works for so fucking long.I remember when TES4 came out and there were rumours about an MMO.

So excited to see the concept finally coming to fruition, and its even for OSX. Can't wait.
