Any facemask recommendations?

Always used thick fleece but that was getting too hot so I recently bought a microfleece one from turtle fur. It's really nice and all but it kinda smells after a while and once it gets wet, shit stays wet the whole day and takes forever to dry off

trying to get a better one right now. should i get a wool buff or something? i see there are a lot of different brands with same functionality so i'm looking for some recommendations.

i run pretty hot whenever i ski so thermal isn't as important. i just need something to block wind/sun but be very breathable and won't stink up. oh and it'll be great if it dries fast

thanks

I'm not looking for a balaclava because like I said, I run really hot and get sweaty so I wouldn't cover my head. I ski in Tahoe so the weather isn't that cold.

Yowie is microfleece also right? How does it differ from all the other microfleece masks?

Not really. Mine is super windproof and warm, but it seems breathable enough to wear on a spring day.

And OP, I believe the Arctic Yowie is micro fleece, but the traditional yowie is not, it is a breathable and lightweight face tube that will protect wind.

Bula speed convertible face mask good at wicking away moisture, pretty thin but still gives warmth, can be worn over your entire head or like bandana style.

it looks really good. although camo is sick to.

My vote is for the Yowie. I have a FD balaclava and a Yowie and the Yowie is bomb. It will get slightly wet, but the material will dry off in seconds if you were to put it under a fan when you go inside quickly. It is also extremely breathable.

I'd also recommend the under armour tactical balaclava, i use it almost every day regardless of conditions, it doesnt get soaked in spring and it is breathable and warm on those super cold days. You can also buy the only bottom portion if you dont want a full head cover if i remember correctly.
