I have the rossi xx free ride boot in size 28.5 and Im thinkin' of gettin the salomon 1080 boot in 28. would the fit even seem different?

ya I used to be 'freestyleskier14' and had 700 post...

the difference between a 28 and a 28.5 is the liner size, no matter what brand of boot it is. the shell size will be approximately the same brand to brand.

each brand will however use the same shell for 28 and 28.5 and just use a different liner.

Rex is forgetting about shell width, which can be different between different models and different brands. The Salomons will probably be wider than the Rossis. That was my experience, if I recall.

Bottom Line: Don't buy a boot you've never tried on. Ever.

When I think about SamCaylor, I touch myself.

um...ok. so that means the 1080s in the half size smaller then the rossis would fit looser, tighter, or the same??

I have the Rossi Race and the 1080, both in 28.5, and the 1080 boot is smaller, soooo.. i don't think you could manage a 28, but you should probably try them on instead of asking other people, retard.

I have Rossi power 70 and 1080, Rossi freerides are made for medium to narrow feet, Salomon 1080 are made for medium to wide feet. The shells only come in single sizes there are no halfs. So if you where a 28.8 in the rossi than you would want a 28 in the 1080 and get a custom sole fitting and sizing that way they can adjust your foot to fit the boot much better, the insoles that companies put in arent made that well on purpose because more peoplt are getting custom soles so get the 28 and a custom sole fitting you will love it.

2 different boots, with completely different shell sizes, completely different liners, and most importantly, a huge difference in flex patterns. TRY EVERY SINGLE BOOT YOU WANT ON BEFORE BUYING ONE, preferably with the custom insoles that are pretty much a necessity if you want your boots to perform and be comfortable.

Questions relating to boot fit should be banned from NS, simply because there's no way to tell whether or not a boot will fit by asking a bunch of idiots on the internet.
