Any details on new Solomon park ski?

They’ll probably never release it to the public just like every other Salomon ski that looks like it would actually be enjoyable. But dont worry you can still ride their ugly ass gaper skis that no one cares about.

I'll sell at least 4 of my fingers for a pair of those pipe skis, I'll change my name to yoda, just lemme have the pointers thumbs and pinkys. Fuck those other fingers, I don't even remember ever using those other fingers, fucking useless digits.

It's a sort of eternal limbo kind of situation. They have been through several prototype skis, they have a few riders on the 'team' but currently, nothing is being officially confirmed. The ski Sleepy is on is kinda a modern version of the Rocker2. I haven't measured it but it looks a touch wider than the Rocker 2 100. Rocker lines look fairly symmetrical, and a little smoother. I was hearing they would be dropping for 23-24 but I believe that is no longer the case.

Heck, a bit brash but really couldn't have said it better myself.

We had some salomon execs in CO last winter who wanted to come to the shop and chat about freeskiing, then it snowed so they didn't wanna drive i70 and never bothered to come back.

Such a shame because their snowboards are sick right now.

Such a shame, rocker2 100 was a banger ski but unfortunately for only a few years.

salomon had an insane run in park skis with suspects especially, shame to see them only making boring skis nowadays

Salomon Blank is probably the most fun pow / all mtn ski I've ridden in a long time, highly recommend.

But yea their true freestyle line has been lacking. Same thing with Atomic (same parent company). Same thing with Dynastar. All used to put out really great freestyle skis. Maybe the market with drive them in that direction in the future once the economic outlook stabilizes, but I don't think that segment was ever a big money maker for them.

I have to say dynastar current line up is really good with a few good modern twin tips

I'll have to check em out! The Distorter back in the day was my absolute favorite ski until I broke it and they no longer made it.

I've been living in the K2 / Line world ever since, and I'm not mad about it.

Dunno about Atomic Katrina, the whole bent line is pretty dialed. The 85 and 90 are great park skis and kind of underrated right now.

If anyone would know, it would be you. I'd trust your assessment! That's a bit narrower than I prefer but I haven't skied any of their skis in the last 8 years probably. I bet they are good!

haha love you Katrina!! You're right though on the wider width, I kinda have always wanted the bent 100 to be softer and more of a freestyle ski than it is. But heck it sells so well as an all mountain ski, I can't blame em.

Perhaps they don’t want to cannibalize sales from armada, another sibling brand where they seem to dedicate effort to making park skis.

The original dumonts were my favorite park ski to date, hands down.
