Antimatter

Shit's crazy. I saw something about trapping anti-matter and testing it so I watched a couple videos on it.

I watched this and I was like oh this shit sounds cool.

Then I watched this

And I was like woah, CERN is gonna fuck us up.

But I have never heard of antimatter until today and I thought it was sorta interesting sooo... here we are...

Many of their claims seem rather speculative seeing as we haven't matter made enough anti-matter to thoroughly study it.

Anti matter is really interesting

Humans have been using it for years in the medical fields and recently we've discovered that antimatter is created above lighting storms

Medical

Antimatter-matter reactions have practical applications in medical imaging, such as positron emission tomography (PET). In positive beta decay, a nuclide loses surplus positive charge by emitting a positron (in the same event, a proton becomes a neutron, and neutrinos are also given off). Nuclides with surplus positive charge are easily made in a cyclotron

and are widely generated for medical use. Antiprotons have also been

shown within laboratory experiments to have the potential to treat

certain cancers, in a similar method currently used for ion (proton)

therapy.[37]

Learned a lot about this shit from science channel documentaries. very interesting how a piece the size of a paperclip could destroy New York City.
