Anti-Obama Rant

I was a fan of G.W.
And of course a lot of people are fucking ignorant and just vote for someone trendy but at least they are exercising their right to do so unlike some educated people who refuse to do so.

That too, but that has nothing to do with the voting age. That's just general stupidity.

Black people voting for Obama is no different than rich white people voting for someone because they have "wholesome American values" or are something they could "have a beer with."

It's not surprising American politics are so fucked. Stop blaming those in office; the populous has the ultimate power, and the fucking assholes running this country are only able to do so because we allow them.

CUT YOUR FUCKING DEFENSE SPENDING, AND RAISE YOUR TAXES YOU FUCKING IDIOTS. Its not so hard. Cutting taxes, and making the rich richer are NOT ( and im going to repeat this ) NOT going to stimulate your economy. It doesn't work for any other part of the work, why would it work in the states. Its like hitting your head against a brick wall.

I'm Canadian, so I'll admit my knowledge is somewhat limited but it seems to me its the American political system that is the problem and its very outdated. You guys have two main parties right? People get so stuck on one side that nothing gets done. like it would hard for Obama to do anything if parliment keeps constantly bickering over stuff that could changed. with cooperation I think America will have to make changes within its system before any problems will be solved, regardless of the president.

There is nothing official about our system that makes us bi-partisan; it's entirely defacto. That's partially why it's so frustrating; we have the legal freedom to improve but our generalized population is too uneducated to save itself.

I consider not voting just as much as a political statement as voting. If Ron Paul doesn't win the Republican nomination, and there's no Libertarian candidate, then I'm not voting. My lack of a vote is a statement that I'm tired of the status quo in this country, and don't support mainstream Republicans. And I'm registered Libertarian by the way, not Republican, so in Pennsylvania I can't vote for Ron Paul in the primaries.

i laughed really hard at the end.

ummm...(trying to contribute a little)pretty much nothing will happen until democrats and republicans start working together and people stop being shitheads.

This post is so ignorant, and your first quote's ignorancy is absolutely overwhelming.

And the guy saying stuff about the Obamas spending $200 million per day on their trips is very ignorant, too.

This entire thread is filled with ignorance.

Our bipartisan setup does not work, and democrats and republicans are too busy trying to prove who is better so nothing gets done. This is not all Obama's fault, it is also very much Congress' fault because they can't pass a fucking bill together. Next, Obama is not the one who write the budget, he writes the original draft, then fucking Congress looks at it, makes changes, than sends it back to him for him to sign. Now lastly, the legislative branch was originally the most powerful branch of our government, not the executive. And the executive branch does not have all the power now, either, Congress is still pretty damn powerful. So stop blaming Obama all the time.

i wonder if anyone in the entire world actually understand's the cause of the united states current economic situation, or some kind of solution. although, if that person exists, i'm sure no one will listen to them.

i mean.. michelle did take a trip to Spain with like a 70 person entourage on Air Force 2 for a total taxpayer bill of upwards of $250,000. any way you spin in, doing that in these economic times is kind of shitty in my personal opinion.

You're really comparing Libya (a country you can't spell) to Afghnistan? Well I will give you one major difference off the bat: we didn't bring ground troops into Libya and we have 94,000 or so troops in Afghanistan. Oh and you conveniently failed to mention Iraq? Where was the UN approval there?

Unlike your unjustified tirade, I actually looked up facts and it shows that Reagan, HW Bush and Bush JR all spent more time on vacation than Bush did. Reagan spent 335 days at just his Ranch while HW Bush spent time at camp David for 500+ days.

Can you post a source for these numbers? Because to me you sound a lot like the liberals who criticized Bush for petty things like vacation time and skewed facts about his presidency.

Obviously you have some sort of bias. Why don't you try admitting that to us so we can get you educated on proper facts. It scares me to think that you can possibly vote and pull these random numbers to justify voting for some party.

Also anyone who said "this" in a response to the above post is a fucking idiot, flat out.

We really have nobody to blame but ourselves. However, it is much easier to say Obama did this or Bush did that. In reality we as a collective group of people could have stopped Iraq. We could have stopped the financial sector bailout that achieved almost nothing. We could put an end to Iraq and Afghanistan right now.

We, as Americans, are so caught up in distractions and who won America's got Talent that we often times only catch the points of politics that engage our emotions. This is very dangerous because these are usually master engineered by media outlets basically controlling people on a string. We are also the most willingly inefficient country in the world. We all drive oversized cars, have huge houses, massive appliances, unnecessary STUFF, campers, boats, RV's, the list goes on. We have been blessed with cheap gasoline and cheap raw resources. Well those are currently being stripped from us as the rest of the world realizes its potential and how we exploited them for cheap resources.

So now what do we do? The only "change" I have seen since Obama was elected president was a black man became president. It's obviously up to the people of the US to put down the cheeseburgers, turn off the TV, and become educated on matters. Until we do that we are going to have the demagoguery that ruins politics today. We are also going to have one of the most unjustified ideological battles only get worse. What I mean by that is we have become so entrenched in our ways without even having any factual evidence to feel that way. Just minor emotional reactions to certain political events that favor our perspective on life. So wake the fuck up America. I have seen this country go to waste for far too long.

i wonder how much Obama had to do with this:

US military loses contact with hypersonic aircraft

_54557066_54554663.jpg

The HTV-2 is designed by engineers to travel at 13,000mph (21,000km/h)

US military scientists lost contact with an unmanned hypersonic experimental aircraft on its second test flight, officials said.

The Falcon Hypersonic Test Vehicle 2 (HTV-2) successfully

separated from its rocket but lost contact shortly into its "glide

phase".

The plane is designed to travel at Mach 20, or 20 times the speed of sound.

The Falcon project is part of the US defence department's plans to develop a rapid-strike weapons system.

A hypersonic plane could potentially enable the US military to hit targets anywhere in the world in under an hour.

Highly complex

The HTV-2 - shaped like the tip of a spear - took off atop a

Minotaur IV rocket from Vanderberg Air Force Base in California early on

Thursday.

It was propelled to the edges of space where it then separated from the rocket.

The aim by engineers was that it would glide back to Earth at

13,000mph (21,000km/h) - enduring temperatures in excess of 3,500F

(2,000C) - before plunging into the Pacific Ocean.
