Who is planning on going to the grail? Does anyone know if your allowed to go inverted and if you need your ussa liscence like at the mega mother hucker? anyways it should be sick

 
I'm at the grail. as far as i know inverts are allowed.

The course is the bottom 2 hits on inferno for big air and the halfpipe is under the lights. I am pretty sure you do not need your ussa license but I am not sure. I think the judging should be better.

does Mount snow have actual rails this year? 'cause those mail boxes last year suck and I wanna hit some rails while I'm out there.

Sounds good. I've heard mount snow got some rails. I haven't skied there this year though I've just heard that from people who have.

I think I am going up to film for school (we are doing a news story on it). Anyone know the actual times of the comps? Big air is during the day, so I think I am just going to go up for the whole day, but does anyone know what time the halfpipe starts at night?

I would say inverts are NOT allowed at all, possibly USSA people can though. Mt Snow definitely is not going to buy invert insurance for all competitors, and if so there is no way in hell i'm paying the extra cash for it, since most borderline flips duck the rope anyways.

 
the only person i know who is going is jon cyrulik from michigan. are there suppost to be alot of big names there also???

hmmm...that would be tight. have you seen his switch cork 7's w/ reverse mute...it has to be the styliest trick i've seen him do. he is throwing that and a cork 10 liu kang so hopefully he will do really good.

 
it was sick, i will post an interesting article entitled 'The Drunk Exploits Of Darryl Hunt' in a bit, i just have to write it out, and i have pictures and movies too... expect it to be interesting, hahaha ;-)

it was huge! everyone was going big. denise and her 7 were the talk of the mountain! although...i thought her nut grab oozed style from every angle as well.....

1080s.....one ski landings to one ski take-offs....switch corked 9s. inverts were banned which sucked ass!!! the pipe was slow. it was 60F and everyone was soaking.

the grail was sick, the first jump was real sweet, the second could have been bigger. but it was cool meeting up with everyone from here....darryl, checking the lift tower to see if theres enough support?

 
the coolest thing i have ever seen ever i saw at the grail

when that kid landed a 720 with one ski and kept on going on the next jump and cleared that too, when alot of people who had 2 skis on didnt clear the 2ed one.

i was only there for the pipe runs and whatnot......i competed too

i landed 2 corked 9s in one run and the judges said i didn't even do a 9 and that i fell so that was hella gay

 
That was Richie Paradise I believe...and were you the kid with the 1260's? No offense, but I barely even saw you above the lip of the pipe at all, maybe thats why the judges didn't really see it. Who knows. I thought the judging was pretty good.

 
Liam donney won again as if it isn't a big surprise. Steel and some other boys were grinding the rail at the base lodge that is pretty sick too. All in all a hot comp.

the dude that lost the ski but kept going did a switch 900, and he stuck the landing on the second jump.

and andy - i wasn't too drunk that night... just kind of drunk, didn't even finish the 26er.

haha! yeah...it took us a while to figure out what he was talking about with the 26er. it sounded like he was talking outta his ass. we have 40oz in the US. hehe i think darryl drunk is almost the same as darryl sober. it was quite entertaining...

ya i know thats one of my porblems is getting above the lip when i do the corked 9 and thats what i have been working on is my height... ya i was the one w/ the orange 1260s... hopefully by next year i will be able to do those at least 5+ft outta the pipe

 
overall, it was a pretty sick time, darryl pissing on the lift tower or a random two jump session on 4 foot jumps in the rain at 11:00. sick events too. the skierX was canceled, though, i guess you cant have it all.
