Anthems or blends??

im lookin to buy 08 anthems or blends this year or maybe something else like those... and yes i tried the search bar and didnt have any luck.

i want to be able have them hold up in the park but also stay strong on hardpack which might be too much to ask from the anthems. but i think the blend is a bit smaller at the waist which might ruin the few powder days we get in nh.

basically i want to do lots of butters and fuck around the mountain while the ski will hold up in park, pow, and hardpack.... so anthems or blends? or maybe another ski..

 
Wait a little bit,
and well from what I know (which isn't as much as many people on this site) is if you get the anthems you would be mounting them center which yould make powder skiing harder. And the blends, not being symetrical, would be mounted a little back from true center so your weights back. But that's just my take.
I think anthems would be better if you do park more and they should stay strong on hard pack as long as you're not a twig.
 
yeah i am looking to save money so im not lookin at 09s... yet. although those new blends do look sick. i'm leaning towards the anthems becuase i can find a better buy on them but i just dont know how they'd stay up in the deeper snow, especially if they were center mounted. i'd get the 178s (im a little under 6' and about 165). would they be ruined as a park ski if i mounted them a little bit back?
 
both the 08 and 09 blends are much stiffer then the anthems, so less playful, but the 08 blends kill them anthems when it comes to aggressive skiing on hard pack. go with the blends and mount a little closer to center.
