I will be skiing east coast, rails and jumps. I want a light ski thats great on rails but at the same time good enough to take on(large, or around 50 ft) jumps. i was thinking either anthems or the suspects but im not sure and need to know soon. i also want to be able to take it around the mountain, just something that will work decently. Also not so sure on durability? if you have suggestions on other skis i would love to hear them. thanks guys

+ karma to whoever can help me out

have you thought about the atomic punx? i havnt skid them, obviously a good park ski, but i have been with byron wells when he came 2nd at a big mountain comp on them skiing sheet ice. so they must be aiit. otherwise the anthems would be legit

i just really wanna know will anthems do well on jumps or at least ok? im on the east coast so i probably wont see too many jumps this year over 50. but if i do will they be alrite or too soft. if i need powder skis on a trip il just rent some

I was told that the suspects are a bit heavy but other than that are a great ski. But I never skied them so I can't tell you much more

I think you should get the SUSECT. those skis look SICK. there design is sweet, and I have only heard good reviews for them!!

Suspects.

For durability, snap, great on rails cause of their new Edge Armour. And for straight up steeze.

It's the nicest ski this year.

ya sure the side armour tech is ill, but have you^ every blown out an edge?or has the thread maker?i mean, its not extremley common

I rode the suspect. I was good, but nothing spectacular. Anthems are noodle soft, but probably less versatile.

they are mad soft, but then again they are supposed to be and when you hit jumps with them, they seem to stiffen up for you.so dont let that turn you away

if ur skiing like vermont and up there eastcoast i would go with suspects just cuase tis a stiffer ski more stable at high speeds plus salomon makes sick skis and so nice and there plenty wide for when there is pow. also there sandwhcih construction. anthems are to soft iv ridden them not as stable mad fun ski tho messin around

get anthems. i have invaders and i have hit jumps up to 50 feet, overshot them, cased them, everything possible. no damage. idk why everyone says that lines are not durable but they have obviously never ridden them. suspects are a nice ski too, but it looks kinda heavy and i have heard that it isnt that stiff. both good skis but the anthem would be more fun

i have anthems and they def not to soft. i mean you can butter easy if you push into it but they hold real well to- since they are 93 underfoot. suspects look real nice but look a bit heavy, which made me not want them this year. i'd say anthems, better for pow and all around and playing on. but suspects im sure would be good to. both are nice, just personal opinion and price

Sounds like you need a pair of the suspects. They are going to be stiffer which is better for larger jumps and all mountain... the suspects will also hold up better on rails because of salomon s new edge armor that keeps your ski from getting chewed up.... i would go for the suspects

anthems are really good skis

suspect too but very expensive

the choose depend of your budget, your riding and what do you like....softer or harder

anthems

im using mine for a second season major topsheet damage but i was a ski instructor and one of the hobbies of the kids was to run over them.

durabilities fine

o and they are good al mountain skis to

i cant beleive people actually believe this edge armor gimmic. have you ever blown out an edge on a rail? i havent, and i dont think it is very easy to unless you pound rails night and day, on trail and urban. and matt walker tore an edge out of his dumonts, which have DOUBLE EDGE ARMOR OMG, so baisically it doesnt do much. its like fishing line tied around the edges, or just an imprint in the base graffic that makes it look real. i dont buy gimmics. salomon makes a great product, not dissing the company, im jsut saying that the suspect isnt what it is hyped up to be

edge armor really is a joke. All you really can do if make a thicker edge with a bigger anchor, like volkl did.

The suspect is way less than 650... but maybe youre talking bindings included. I got suspects for this season but havent ridden them yet. They were about 500 from the place I bought them but I paid way less cause I had a massive store credit there and if I would have had to pay full price I prob would have gotten some bluehouse skis, anthems, or ar6. If money isnt an issue I would definately get suspects cause they are sick but if you wanna save a $100 dollars id go with the anthem cause I highly doubt you will be dissapointed. I do think the whole edge armour thing is a gimmick but salomon makes solid skis regardless.
