Anthem or karma?

my friend skis in vermont and new jersey all the time, he skis 80% park and 20 all mountain and he goes out west often too and skis mostly powder there, hes 6 foot 1 and 165 lbs

well if he gets the anthems wont they hurt his all mountain ability?

I would suggest the Anthems, for 80% park they'll be ideal, they are also fatter for tree skiing in pow out west, so unless he charges fairly hard lines when not as his home mountain, the Anthem should be fine.

as long as he likes softer skis then go karma. if he wants stiffer, more support, the go karma.

goto go with the anthems. i used the invaders last year on steeps and pow in taos and wolf creek and they performed just as well as in the park. so i goto think with a wider waist the anthems would rip all over.

Sry to take away from this thred..but wont the center mounting on the anthems affect the all mountain riding?

How so? He's kinda tall but for mostly park a 178 wouldn't be bad...and he's only 165lbs.

i beg to differ. the center mount realy keeps you from being put in the backseat and makes you not have to lean as forward on steeps to make turns.
