Another which ski thread

so i've had my afterbangs for the last three years and i feel like they are about to crap out on me. They have 6 inches of edge missing underfoot and the ski is more than halfway eaten through. Both skis have had the edges at the tail pull out, and i've had to rivet both at the tip when they started to delam.

So i need a new ski. I want something that will handle similarly to the afterbang but something that is a bit stiffer, has a bit of a faster base and has a more normal construction. Throw me some suggestions.

My first thought was the chronic. I tried out my buddy's 2010 chronics (the ones with 85mm waist) and liked them and would probably buy a pair if i could find them but i'm not so sure about the chronic cryptonites, or this years chronics as they are a little wider (and i've heard stiffer?)

So if anyone can clear up the difference between the chronic and chronic cryptonite for me please do so, but also shoot me some ideas for a new ski! otherwise +K for helpful shit

knew i would hear this from someone, looking to move away from the skate deck construction, as it always got waterlogged and i dont think it holds it's shape very well. my afterbangs are rockered at this point you can see it just by looking at them

I'd say go with the chronic the extra stiffness will help going big on rails and jumps. And i personally love a wider ski. Otherwise look out for next years RMU Wiscos.

I comment this in a lot of threads but I've honestly never been happier with a ski than I am with the Coreupt Candide Yards. I have the 2010 candide yards that I got for $199. They're going to be stiffer than the afterbangs and definetely lighter. They are very poppy and they've held up great for me thus far. I would highly recommend them.

from what stores have left i can either get a

2012 coreupt yard @171 $309 114-85-110

or a 2009 chronic @181 $250 111-85-108

i'm about 6' 155lbs i ride mostly rails but would like to get into jumps

These skis seem to have pretty much identical shapes, so give me opinions/reviews on what would be a better size, and which ski has better durability.
