Another "what ski to buy" thread

i'm looking at picking up some new skis, preferably an 08/09 ski

i got trouble makers this year that i will be using for park and want something much wider, 95-105mm underfoot or somewhere around there

i am 6'1" 165 lbs, agressive skier, with these new skis i will be skiing pow when its there and all mountain/park when its not

right now all i have in mind is the obSETHeds in a 179 but am looking for something else similar to that

any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated
 
I suggest you ask again in the 08-09 season when people have actually tried these skis and they are actually available for you to purchase.
 
elizabeths are a sick ski but i think its too wide for what hes looking for but the ARV is a real good all mountain ski for what you described and... they are only a 95cm underfoot
 
I dont think the addicts are big enough for what he wants and probably too stiff. Id say prophet 100s.
 
you should already know what to ski on if you work at a shop. or go to a demo and try out skis for free to pick out what you like.
 
if u want a ski to charge. u need to ball the fuck up and get a 180+ ski. i am 6'2'' and ride a 185 park ski... so go bigg.

but haveu thougth about the idea of a rockered ski? where are u skiing?

ALSO. u need to pic between a soft and a stiff ski because the skis i listed have diff. flex patterns.
 
lizzies are a great ski for park and shorter smaller people.

this kid is askin for an agressive all moutain ski and wants something like the seths. no way are the lizzies like that.

id go arv, seths, or wait till they actually find out more about the 08-09 skis
 
I'm looking for more of a medium flex, ill be mostly skiing out west with these skis and maybe a little bit in wisconsin where i live, i have thought about something rockered and thats why the mini-rocker of the seth caught my eye

and again, i will be skiing a little bit of park with these too

Honestly, I think Line SFBs would be your best bet. Im smaller than you, but i can use them for park, all mountain, pow, whatever. I dont really know how icy it is in wisconsin, but they do generally suck on ice. thats it.
 
ok so ive narrowed it down to four skis and need to decide which ones to get since i have to put my order in soon for them

Bacons would be in there but the shop i work at doesn't carry line so these are the brands i can go with

if you could let me know what you think i should get and the size i should get them in would be great too

i seriously dont remember posting this in this thread...o well, but i disagree with what i said, and i say line anthems, might be a little too thin but its such a sick ski, or you can get next years kung fujas.
 
i just said what ive narrowed it down to, anthems and kung fujas are both too narrow for what im looking for
 
honestly if price isnt the issue you can really look at a lot of skis but if i were you i would be lookin at the LINE Blend (132-100-122) or the Chronic (111-85-108)....personally the blend looks sick and it sounds like it would fit u better since ur lookin to go in the pow but the chronics have sick graphics and if u want to go in the park and throw down those are sound so nice
 
shop i work at doesnt carry line so thats not an option and if i were to get volkl it would be the gotamas, not bridges
 
no line like i said, of the four i mentioned what to you think would be the best for me
