I'm looking to buy my first pair of skis. I'm 5"7 and weigh 60 kg, Skiing in the fremch alps. Spend most of my time charging on piste but looking to spend more time off piste. But also want something a little more playful.

Thinking maybe the line sick day 94 or like the k2 marksman but any help would be appreciated.

I would go with the sick days over the marksmans if you're looking for a good on piste ski that will handle a little off piste.

Like I would probably be doing 70 on 30 off I've also been suggested chronics and CT 2.0

how much park do you ski? Chronics, CT 2.0 and Marksmans are all twin tip shapes whereas the sick day is a lot more directional. Chronics and CT 2.0 are pretty much dedicated park skis but will still do fine off piste. The marksmans will be amazing for off piste but probs wont be the best for firm, on piste carving. The sick day 94s will for sure be amazing for ripping pistes and will be great for a little off piste but won't be good in the park or waist deep pow.

Lotta contradicting ski characteristics

charge but playful

off and on piste

I really recommend looking through blisters buyers guide

there’s a lot of variables u may not even have an answer to

do you prefer a center mount -6ish cm? Or -10ish?

Do you wanna ski and land switch?

what’s the min/max waist width your interested in ?

prioritize pow or groomers or =

Fischer Ranger 94fr is exactly what you're looking for. Precise on piste but definitely can still rip off-piste as well. Sick Day 94 is too light to handle well inbounds, imo. And the Marksman is not a piste ski.

Idk mang I think the marksman does pretty good on piste considering. I can still really rail turns on groomers once I get enough speed. Maybe not good if you mainly do groomers, but I love them.

changing my ideas to more along the lines of atomic bent cheater 100, ct 2.0 ct3.0 or SFBs, with binding position honestly not a clue as only ever skied rentals

can't find the bent chetlers for a decent price and in 172, so might go ct 2.0 or marksmen in stead which I can get for like 400£
