im canadian, so just keep in mind, all money is in canadian dollars....

okay, so im growing, im about 170 cm tall. I weigh about 130 lbs, and dont have alot of money. What is a good, affordable, quality ski? I would also like a soft ski. I found my 158 acratch pros a little stiff, so thats what you have to compair to. Any help is appreciated. I live in Northern Ontario, so the only skis avaliable to me are

1080 Thrusters

urban Triplets

Scratches

1080 Foils

Armada T-hall

maybe Ar5

I may have to go down south to barrie, toronto, or collingwood, or buy from d-strucutre. so, any thoughts, opinions, and suggestions would be a huge help. Thanks

im looking to spend about or less than 500 on the skis, but hopefully i can get a binding witht the ski in a package.

if you need any more info, just post on the thread, and ill give the info

if your looking for a more park/all mtn ski i would go for the AR5 or the Foils, leaning more toward the AR5 because im not a huge fan of salomon. if you were looking for a strictly park ski i would suggest the t-halls.

well your lookin for a soft ski and you said your scratch pros were to stiff. so take out the Scratch, Ar5, Triplet. Your left with the 2 salomons, and the tanner hall.. for 500 the only ski you might be able to get is the thruster. Good ski, great quality.. itll be great for ontario as it can handle anything you throw at it as well as if you do travel itll work.

thanks. ya, a shop right by me had the recent thrusters(05/06), but i forget the price. hopefully they will cost less this year. if im 168 cam tall, and only 16, should i go with something like a 175 or higher, or closer to a 170?

t-halls or triplets would be a good choice if you ski alot of park. both are super sick skis. The tanners are the best park skis i've ever ridden. if you ski more all mtn stuff i'd look at something slightly stiffer though.

like, i mostly ski park, witht he occasional run down the hill. lots of rails, jumps, and fakie carving.

any other suggestions?

Ar6 man, they are a really great ski. If you are worryed about the price, i would say fujis, in a 169. The extra lenght might be weird at first but you would get used to it. And you ride in sudbury right?

if you only weigh 130 i would go with a ski less than 170cm. and the new triplets and thrusters are both really soft skis, the t halls are soft too but they have a park orientated flex pattern

I'm selling my 06 T Halls mounted with P12 jibs. 170cm. Only used 3 times. Perfect bases. Never touched a rail. And under $500 at $450. Shoot me a pm

oh ya, the triplets id get would be the 05/06 model. dont they have that wierd maunting plate in the middle, so can they be mounted true centre?

um, fujatives would be okay, also the maroon scratch FS are pretty soft, and you can find them for cheap, they were 04-05

dont get the fujis, i say get the invaders even though no one has mentioned them, or the triplets, invaders are cheap and your using it for park so you can replace it easier. triplets are 3 skis so you dont have to replace. if your on a budget get those, if not get the t-halls

174 scratches for sure. the foils, thalls, ar5s n shit are soooooo fuckin expensive. if you're convinced you're still growing, just don't go too short.
