I'll ask the one question that has never been anwsered ever but asked millions of times. Why do Ski Boarders Ski Board? There is absoublely no progression in that sport...you cant ride big mountain, style isnt a factor cuz theres not style in the sport itself. I can see using them as a training tool for learning inverted 9's on snow...but come on thats all there good for. They drive everyone in the park nuts cuz all the do is get outta control and hurt themselves. I know that skiboarding did influence the twin tipped skiing movement but its time to get rid of it.

 
I use to skiboard and i wouldnt try corks or rodeos on skiboards now after i skied. Skiing give you so much more balance and is easyer to land on. And pros has style on them but they all ski now.

for the people who go skiing only 2-3 time per year, it's normal that they do snowblade because they have more, it's easier to learn but for the people who ride like 10 time and more, i don't understand why they don't switch to ski, you can go so much bigger.

 
haha wow...my buddy joe used to ski board and he had mad steez in his rodeos and lincolns...he 'had' steez in the air and thats all he really couldn't land anything but joes my buddy and he skis now.

skiboards are easy to carve with, spin with, flip with, and dance with. but yeah, landing with skiboards can be tricky..

This topic has been beatin to death a long time ago, but i agree that there is no point to ski-boardin when u can ski, but whatever if people prefer to do somethin that looks that bad and miss out on stuff like powder, than whatever i guess thats up to them

i used to skiboard then my family confronted me and took me to skiboarders anonymous, they cleaned me up iv'e been sober for 3 years now.

 
I did for a year, then switched. Skiing tricks look so much sicker, people respect you more, and you dont look completely ridiculous when you ski. Skiing is 2503850658460943 times better. Im ashamed of my past. tehehe.

skiboards are a really good training tool. my friend used to ski, and sucked big wang at it. in the 7th grade he bought skiboards, and learned some of the basic poo, like 360s and switch 360s. he skiboarded for two years and quit, and bought himself a pair of orange line 1260s, which are basicly LONGER skiboards. within his first season back on 'skis', he was doing 360s with differnt grabs, switch 180s, and even lincoln loops. of coarse he had the privlage of trying his first flip into a huge feild of powder off of a kicker he and his cousins made, i give the baby boy props for progressing, skill and style wise.

Skiboards didn't inspire twintips. Snowboards did. I know for a fact we got twin tips because of snowboarding. The NCAF started doing tricks that were inspired by snowboarding so they decide to create a ski like one. Skiboards deserve no recognition for anything. They are a waste of the mountain.

yeah, snowllerblading is good for the people that are just learning to ski, there easyer to turn and junk, but a bit less stable, ive tryed them a few times and they are very unstable, like straightlining and then trying to stop......chatter chatter ouch

Training tool, fuck that. I wouldnt try corks on skiboards even thought i can do them on skis. And as for spins skis are easyer to spin with over big tables. But skiing is better.
