Another Ski length thread..

I buying 22 chronics couldn’t find any info on how true they are to size. Planning on center mounting them and mostly keeping them in the park. I’m 5’7ish (172cm) and weigh about 140+Lbs.

debating between 171 chronics or 178.

any help would be appreciated

If you suck at skiing go 171, if you don’t suck 178, longer isn’t going to hurt you if you know what your doing

I previously bought Chronics in a 171 because, at the time, my locker only allowed a 172 length ski and I had no car. I’m 5’8”. Get 178. Trust me.

Well I’m definitely a great skier just worried about swing weight/park performance

get the 178's...if you've been ripping short twigs the past few seasons it'll just take a day to get used to them. I was riding 174 future spins (86 underfoot) for the past few seasons. Picked up some 174 give'rs (measure closer to a 177 and 100mm underfoot) and have a pair of the 180 royale's. Took a day of riding the around to get used to. The added length made me feel way for confident charging around some east coast mountains and ripping through the park. swaps, 4's and 6's were no issue.

Bet I been on 170 arv 86s so I think I’ll switch it up and get the 178s

Can't comment on how they feel on snow, but you can see their profile and flex for different lengths here and compare against any other skis in the online Sooth's database (3000 skis) we just launched.
