I want to go to a decent school for marketing and communications somewhere that is within 30 min of some good skiing (nice urban shit would be a plus) and under $20,000 for out-of-state tuition. Does anyone know whether such a place exists?

Plymouth state, but i donno about your major and whatnot...it's around 30 minutes from waterville, and there's a million urban rails on the campus

UoU, fulltime youll pay less than 10'g tution housing is plentiful and cheap. 7 resorts within 30 minutes (alta,snowbird,brighton,solitude.park city,deer valley, canyons)Decent nightlife, pretty good school, tons of outdoor recreation. vegas 4 hours away. Not to shabby around here

western state has awful academics.

UBC has a a pretty exclusive and well regarded business school, tuition will run you about 18,000 CAN, i believe, so about 13,000 US... all told with housing and everything, looking at 20-25 k. whistler is 2 hours away, grouse/cypress/seymore are about 45 minutes. but personally, i think that the business school is satans spawning pool.

I'm pretty sure that $18K includes social health care. Tiffy is going to UBC in sept (and she's an american), she'd know what's going on. And yeah, UBC is one of the best schools in Canada.

Now, in the interests of furthering the simmering cross-city rivalry that we've got going on, I have to mention Simon Fraser University. It's a good school, pretty fun, maybe a little cheaper, and better located for getting to Whistler or the north shore. Either way, you can't go wrong in Vancouver. I hear U of Utah is nice as well.

Yes, yay for getting hammered at T-3 premieres at SFU. And then having to sleep on a hideously uncomfortable parking lot. Asphalt is not a comfy sleep. And though it's weird, campus can function as a year round skatepark/bike trials course/urban jib heaven, so it's not all bad.
