Hey guys, I know theres probably already a shitload of these threads, but whatever. I'm starting a film crew this year, and I want to get a video camera. I would like a get a flip one, and I'm looking for something that's not too expensive but good quality. My price range is $100 to around $250. Our crew has two GoPro's (960), but we're looking for something with a bit better film quality. Thanks.

If thats your max budget I would wait a little bit until you can at least get the gopro that shoots 1080 and 720 @60fps.

I was looking around on some websites, and you could get a Sony one in HD for like $350, what would that be like? It doesn't have to be a super high quality good filming camera, just something that would be good for making edits.

get a t2i.......

but for real save up more and you will have quite i few options. Look into a canon hv20/hv30. I loved my hv20 and i sold it for 400 with a wide angle and a bunch of other stuff.

No man I don't need anything that expensive/high quality, I'm just looking to make a few edits, not become like a dedicated filmer. The most I want to spend is $400. Just something to make a few season edits on, doesn't have to be the best quality and have the best film quality.

get a canon hf100 or 200. similar to the hv series cameras but sd cards rather than tapes which makes it way better
