Another mounting thread WITH FULL INFO

Ok so I have Look PX12 Jib bindings (ones with green "shock absorbers") and 172 Line Chronic Blend skis from 06-07.

I ski in Alaska, but the part that is like the east coast. There are days we have powder though, but not a whole lot+ 2 trips to alyeska, where there definitely is powder.

I am 5'6.5 and 120lb

I ski a lot of park, but if there is powder than i'm in the powder

I am a pretty aggressive skier I guess, and am gonnna get into park this year.

I'll be skiing switch alot.

I hate when my bindings release when they shouldn't, if that matters.

The skis suggested mounting point is +81mm from true center, but that is too far.

I was thinking somewhere around 3cm from true center, what do you guys think?

Sorry if I left any other information out.

How many days do you plan to ski this season? If 70 or so and 5 of them are going to be pow and the rest park, go for center or +1cm from center.

To clear up, I am really gonna get into park this year and get good at it, although last year I did hit jumps.

And I'm 14 if that matters.

Well I'll be skiing twice every weekend if I can (homework decides this), and my season is from november to april, so quite a bit of days.

And with the powder, thats hard to say. Last season, we got 23 inches of snow all season, but its already snowed about 6 inches this winter, so I'm not sure. The trip to alyeska will definitely have powder (i hope, crossed fingers) and it'll be about 5 days of skiing

I have that same exact setup and i ski pretty much the same things as you. I mounted at +4 from recommended which is -4 from true center. They skied really good in the park, and skied swithc amazingly good. They were pretty good in the powder too. If you are going to be skiing alot of powder probably go +2 put +4 sounds good for you. I took these skis out west to Steamboat too and they held up good in pow.

"I hate when my bindings release when they shouldn't, if that matters"

I suggest you get another pair of bindings then.

-1 cm from the exact center of the ski, you will be completely fine. park will be soo legit. pow wont be an issue becuz of how fat the ski is, your switch riding will be awsome, and since your an agressive skier, you wont even notice that your that far forward. good luck

I've heard that those bindings rip out easier, but I'm not gonna be landing switch of 70 footers this year, will it really make a difference? Last year i had some crappy rossignol bindings, and it happened rarely

Congratulations, you made a good help thread. I'd probably say around +2, that's where i'd go. Waist shoould be wide enough
