Trying to choose between the 18s and the 14s (price is not a issue). I am a pretty newbish, backflips. 27 on and off. Stuff like that. What do you guys run?

how much do you weigh? what's your bootsole length? what type of skier are you? have you broken plastic bindings before?

i'm on fks 155s and 185s.

Well acutally, that doesn't even matter.. if you ride on at least an 8 then get the 18s, no question

I weigh 155, and I run a 7 1/2 din, but I could bump it up to a 8. I wanted to run a bit higher next year anyway, Thanks for help guys +k

If your not riding an 8 dont bump it up wait until next year and talk to a guy who works in a shop and see where they put you then decide the 180 is certanly more burly and has a metal toe piece but it doesnt sound like your skiing hard enough that you need an 18 din full metal binding the 140 would suit you fine especially since your not even at 8 yet

Get the 14, 18 will definitely be an overkill. If you were 50 pounds heavier or rode a lot harder, then you might be able to justify the 18. Don't get the 18 because you can tell everyone you have an 18 din binding.

The rule used to be "if you have to ask if the 18 DIN is right for you, the 18 DIN is not right for you"

Now it seems to be "if you want to use 8 DIN or higher, go for it"

I'm not really sure which one I agree with. They're extremely good bindings, if you don't mind the weight and cost then they're bulletproof and have one of the best release mechanisms in the game.

if you see yourself getting fat or having a growth spurt might as well go for the 18s if money aint a thang. they will last for a realllyyyyy looooonnggg time

Forget my earlier post, now that you posted how much you weight and such, get the 14s. Going up a size is not worth the risk of blowing your knees out.
