I have been working hard these past weeks and i have a new creation...
Its a Urban Backyard Set-Up with a Down-Flat and a Down-Flat-Down. Both can be hit from either side. I have accumulated a lot of turf, so i plan to cover the whole bottom area and most of the stairs with turf for some safety precautions. I do not have any video footage of it yet, but i just ordered a HD camera, so footy is on the way. Here are some pics to drool over. Enjoy!

Me doing work probably well over 15 hours. Total about over 20 hours, cuz i had some help from my friends. The longest part that wasnt even included in that time, which was getting 30 pallets to my house via mini-van. So worth it though.

holy shit thats soooo sick. i wish i had a bigger backyard to atleast attempt to set up something that sick.

Suggestions? Yeah I got one - SHRED THAT!!! That looks like some intense backyard setups, and you have a tramp! From the looks of it, you have a fun backyard.

ok dude can you hook me up with some info on the turf or whatever you used for the roll-in? iv been plannin on buildin a setup of my own but im not sure what will slide good and price range. pleasse pm me with the info or something. thanks

yeah at lowes its 18.99 for 4'x8' and 11.99 for 2'x8'. For the skinny ones i got the 4x8 cuz its cheaper and i just cut it in half. super easy to cut, i used a jig saw and it took less than a minute, you could use a hand saw and do it in under 5. I wouldnt use a circular or skill saw, cuz it might shatter? For the other set-ups i used normal indoor outdoor green synthetic carpeting aka turf. 44 cents a ft^2, so not too different from the lattice. I tried construction fence and its not as fast as lattice.
LatticePros- Requires a spray of water, so close to no mud, fast as crapCons- No edge control (can be fixed by using lattice to get speed then using turf on the lip for edge control)
TurfPros- Pretty fast, good edge contolCons- Requires lots of water and soap= mud and soap= death to your lawn (cannot be fixed easily)
SnowAll problems solved.

If you make a big drop in with a smooth tranny and not to big of a lip, then TURF, but like my urban drop-in its really short, so lattice with a turf lip. like i said a combo of both if need be.

ok man dope, hopefully ill have my set-up done b4 snow comes, lol. might be hard to accomplish with football and school but gosh darnit ima do it. lmao, goodnight newschoolers!!!!!

ok first off that shit is epic and amazing and phenomenal your rails look so sick too i need time and im building something hopefully even half as sicvk as that setup

That is totally epic for a backyard setup. I would suggest more support than the wood on those flat bars, if you weigh more than 100 lbs it looks like it will break. But super sick for sure!

such a sick setup! im not sure how id feel about having stairs though. wouldnt it kind of defeit the purpose of practicing at home?

Sick set up I like the urban style.

But I still think I win for best backyard set up.

I have been waiting a while to post this vid in a thread.

thats sick, but... if i lived in Golden, then my set-up would not be made of pallets and lattice, i would use snow, but no i am stuck here in Maryland with synthetic alternatives. Enjoy your snow!

Update: Just tested and and it works pretty well, i need poles, but when i have snow from a rink or the sky, then it will work perfectly!

Nice job. Actually, lattice is still the way to go, even in CO. Contrary to popular belief, we don't have snow 365 days a year and lattice slides great. We haven't been using it for the take off because the grip isn't good. Have you tried to 270 on yet? Let me know how that works out, seriously.

indeed, Its not really about the setup. How many pros have ever hit your set up? That's what I was going for.

And GO BRONCOS!!!

its in OT if they loose, FUCK!

Just realized if you look in the first picture at the really thick patch of green vegetation on the right, that is where i cleared all that crap out to build this. I should have taken a before pic, but this shows what it used to look like.
