Another dying thread (dying boots, not like...death)

okay so im about to dye my boots right now and im wondering if i should use two packets of rit for one boot or if 1 is fine enough. i couldnt find anything in the other threads about how many packets to use, so i need to know asap.

i think 1 will be fine, my friend dyed his rollerblades with just 1 packet and they were sick, and worst case scenario, if they arent dark enough, just dye them again, no big

1. The concentration will seep more into the boots with more time, and the dye flows into the pores of the material usually at a constant rate, no matter how much concentration there is (unless there's so little its not visible or there's a ton) there is no real need for 2 boxes, unless you like throwing away money. Take your time dying them, wait, and save money. I've dyed stuff ALOT.

okay so my boots wee silver, and theyve been in for an hour. and now they just have an orange tint, but just barely. so i think im going to have to leave them in for a lot longer.

so now im wondering, should i reboil the dyed water once it gets cold?

Reboil it, but first, see if taking fine sandpaper to them helps. It might remove the silver color, and if not, opens the pores more to allow more color to flow in. It might help to get a dark red rit dye mix and then take them out when you want. Maybe.
