Another CREW thread. I HATE IT!

Ok so this is a bit of a rant, but here me out. So earlier this week i was at loon mtn for a day. I saw almost no one in the park that was a skier until like noon, i was going up the chair and saw a group of skiers standing at the top and decided i would try to catch up and sesh with them. So i get down to the park, and there still standing there, totally decked out in the newest gear, all had either this years armadas or this years publics. And all had either brand 'new siver, oakley, or helly hansen gear. And yes i imediatley assumed they were decent freeriders. So i ask if anyones gona hit up this TINY flat rail. No one sais anything so i just go and do switch on, 270 out. They stare at me like im god while i look up to see if anyones gona drop. One kid does, gets on the rail like there is a chair on it and hes gona sit in it, and his feet are literally touching eachother. He eats huge shit. Meanwhile all his freind start doing switch pizzas down the middle of the park, 2 of which colide get up and ski away as fast as possible.

The next day at waterville, almost the same thing happens, these kids were a little less decked out, and a little better at skiing, but still blew, and yes they all had this years skis, on kid i saw even had T halls. Somthing resebling what happened to the rail kid ar loon happened to them, but it was all of the kids instead of one, there jump of the side of the jump thats leading up to our uprail, and then continue to either come back down from the walride switch and eat shit catching an edge, air over the wallride withh WAYYY to much speed and be super backseat and fall on there back. Or just fall over the backside.

so all of these kids were strait up decked out, and older than me (im 14). And they all just sat around until someone half descent at skiing, did somthing, at which time they either felt intimidated or just felt they would look cool, gangster or steezy by skiing down all decked out and either eating shit or looking like gapers. Im not saying kids have to be good to ski park, you can be bad and ski park as long as your trying stuff, and or not being a nuissance to other riders / skiers. But i am saying i fucking hate it when kids are FULLY DECKED OUT and just stand around looking yes, i admit pretty dope because of there clothes, super misleading, and then blow at skiing, and dont try anything for the most part anyway (dont commit, dont try, or try for one reason and one reason only, to look cool.) this just strait up pisses me off.

I completely agree with you, 90% of the kids that are all thugged out just basically suck ass at life. I spend about 4 days a year in the park and every day I do go, there's always a group of kids that look like eminem wannabes that are just absolutely horrible at everything. I just wish that people would realize that skiing is about just being outside and having fun, not image. Reppin' your upper middle-class white neighborhood should not be on your priority list when you're up at the mountain.
 
I know exactly what you are saying. There are people like that, they just think they are so fucking cool cause they have the best shit, but cant slide a rail. Just remember when those kids went home they cried in bed cause a 14 year old was better than them.
 
ohhh god, i actually love ridin down to a rail and asking everyone if they're gonna hit it and they always say, "no u can go 1st" and they slide to the side of the hill. then i go and grease the thing and they all stare in disbelief and wait for someone new to ride down.

next run dow they're all still thinking about it... man grow some balls guys and hit it
 
no, he does...well, HE doesn't, but his clone army does. Clones just aren't as good, and are most definitly posers.
 
totally agree. i hate ppl that have everything tanner has and go off the little jumps leading to rails, getting one foot of air. so gay.
 
i know what you are saying, what do you classify as sucking at skiing and having the nicest gear, like i have my own idea of what it is, but whats yours?
 
have oakley link jacket/pants, t-halls, kryptons, wisdoms, etc, and sucking ass at every feature in the park
 
your totally decked out, or close to it head to toe in the latest gear this years skis exetra. Then you just stand around looking cool. Because you dont want to let other people see how much you actually blow. Or the only reason you try stuff when your all decked out is because your intimidated or want to appear not a pussy or cool or gangster or steezy.
 
Waterville for the most part isn't to bad about that, but it does happen at most mountains. Kids want to fit in so they get the nice gear and go into the parks and they do what makes them feel "cool".

The thing that bothers me is when they get in your way and dont follow the rules of the park.

About the gear, if they can afford it why shouldn't they be able to get it. They are supporting the companies. If only the best of the best sported siver, or grenade or whatever, the companies would not be in business. Yeh its lame when some knob is decked out and not doing anything in the kiddie park, but thats the way it is :: (
 
yeah i hate that i was going up to hit this rail and some kid cuts in front of me, making me stop, and attempts to hit the rail, goes about 2 feet and falls off
 
ahh you add another point, its even worse when they dont obey the rules, cut people off, be dickheads, stand on jumps, infront of jumosm behind jumps or on landings. its fucking retarted
 
most of the skeirs at my mountain are good so we really dont have that problem..everybody feeds off eachother and gets better...
 
well obviously theyre rich but the point of buying that clothing is so they feel cool and want ppl to think theyre cool
 
i went to whiteface early this year, some kid (by himself) was totally decked out, had last year's ar5's, looked wicked steezy and good. he sat at the top of the park for a good 15 minutes and then when he finally went down he hit this jump ( prolly like 15 ft) tried a 3, did a 270, cased it wicked bad. i laughed so hard
 
then there are places like ski sundown where so many of the kids can ride and 270 on and off kinks and such but don't dress to impress at all.
 
Just ask them why they have all that stuff and still suck. that will make them think twice before posing in the park again, especially if you drop and do something really sick.
 
ohh i dont let this wreck my fun of skiing at all, i enjoy skiing 100% and wouldnt let anything wreck it.
 
You dumb. I'm sure they are very nice people and would've enjoyed to ride with you. But then you thought you were too good for them because you can hit features they couldn't.
 
im sure they liked wat it looked like, but they obviously knew ppl would think they were cool cuz thats wat tanner wears. if youre barely into freeskiing u dont need top of the line everything....hell, i still rock an american eagle jacket.
 
I dunno man. i think you should just worry about your own progression and not about how bad others suck. thats not going to affect you in any way. are you up there to ski or are you up there to people watch. you need to re-think your whole attitude.
 
because there doing this for the soul purpose of looking cool while standing at the top of the park, not looking better while there skiing, aka using this dope gear for what it was made for in the first place.
 
worry about yourself dude. i have all the newest gear and i dont ski park 60% of the time. its backyard jibbing for me, bc booters, and urban.
 
exept i tried talking to them and they were just silent and acted like nothing was happening, and so i just went on with my own buisness, then i tried again to befreind them, and realized what they were actually doing
 
i didnt say you needed to ski park to have nice gear. your obviouslty a half descent skier if you hit urban and do backcountry booters.
 
i think the most important thing here is actually trying shit in the park...if they dont do that then theyr pretty stupid, if they at least try to clear the jumps and dont b a dick and ppl wont hate them as much, i mean i am pretty bad and stuff but i still try stuff most of the time sure i eat it but who cares i kno for a fact these kids wouldnt b hated if they tryed to do stuff, cuz thats the main point of skiing park rite?
 
its not that that they arent good, its that they have all this gear and they dont even try shit, theyll never progress
 
yeah, i would have given most of the kids more props if they were trying shit instead of trying to look cool at the top, and didnt only try shit when they felt they had to defend there coolness, they would have been better of just standing there anyway
 
Just have fun and support other skiers, no matter what lvl, and just ignore the ones that garner no response and think they are to cool.
 
i dont know this kid but it seems as though everyone hates him/ they make fun of him in bogart to
