Another college thread

so ive been accepted to st. lawrence, uvm and hobart/william smith

im trying to decide where i want to go, i liked all of them so what do people have to say about these schools

St. Lawrence's campus is sick - everybody I know that goes there loves it, Canton is tiny and boring.

UVM is OK - I didn't like it, but if you don't mind a big school, it has the location, people, opportunities, and academics (assuming you pick the right major).

HWS is a great school, as I've heard from friends, particularly in International Relations and Economics, but from my own experience, Geneva SUCKS.

Pick UVM unless you want a small, cozy school.

yeah at the moment im leaning towards st lawrence

uvm is just a little too big but i love the location

and i was just out at hobart last weekend and i liked but i think i like the ohter 2 better

Lemme add:

In looking at all 3, visiting them, and actually going to UVM; UVM is not in the same category as HWS and SLU. HWS and SLU are preppier, affluent schools that have lots of squash courts and great crew teams. They are small, private, almost ivy-league'esque campuses. UVM is big, public, TONS of different types of people, in a very liberal, non-preppy type of city.

thats pretty wierd those are the same 3 schools i got accepted into to, right now im going with Slu but i have to wait for some waitlists.

i was going to go to SLU for crew (which, btw isnt the traditional preppy sport it once was and has a reputation for) but i got hurt, didnt like the campus enough to go and then join the team. so UVM here i come!
