all the questions im asking havent been answered in previous threads ive searched so i ask you to help me....we built the frame for a box today and i have a few questions, the top sheet...now i know i should use lexan but that shits expensive soo....alternatives, does pexiglass or tileboard even work? and should i glue it or screw it in? and i didnt put rails on the side, is that goin to be alright?

no hes defineatly right, if you put rails on the side there would be no buttering, use pvc edges if you want something on the side.

i was going to go for a quad daffy but i was like, why huck? -mommy

plexiglass does work.... and i would just screw it on, exept counter sink the screws (meaing make a lil crater with a countersinking bit, then screw the screws in that way they are below the surface.

don't even have pvc or rails on the sides, all you need is somthing to support the topsheet, thats what mines like and its pretty sweet

 
drill first to countersink the screws or plexi will crack same with lexan ect. It is fiberous and interconnected so drill your shit. No sides are good make it look like a wide flat rail I have yet to see many butters in backyard video just make something and then spend your time on something else because one jib is boring

why would u go to so much more trouble to make a box wen rails are easier to make and more fun and less stupid

why buy metal when you can steel wood^ and it took us around 20min to make the frame(i wouldnt call that trouble)

^ yeah, but i have made killer rails outta wood. its way eaiser than a box, and PVC conduit slide like a dream. its way easier.

i glued mine with special lexan polycarbonate glue. def put reails on the sides pvc rails are fine and stick a wooden dowel into then. believe me its worth it you put them in so the top of the rail is at the same height as the surface. you can prop the box up use it as a wallride, slide down on the rail only much harder and it looks cooler, you can do alot with it and its easy.
