Another boot question...sorry

I am in the market for new boots. I ski about 70% backcountry(big cliffs, kickers) and 30% park. The boots I am looking at are the new 1080 foils for $350 and new pro model gun for $599. Is the extra $250 worth it to get the boot that is more made for what I ski or do you think that the 1080 will do fine in both conditions? The flex index difference is only 10, 85/95. Thanks for your help!

The boot you want is a boot that FITS. Go see a boot fitter...someone who knows what they are doing. Most will tell you that they'd rather sell you a cheap boot with a custom footbed then an expensive one without. Buying boots based on what the boot is supposed to be good for is like buying a ski based on the graphics. You'll ski better if it fits. All companies have different fits (dalbello tends to be wider, rossi tends to be narrow). fit fit fit...it's everything, the boot fit is more important then ski and binding it attaches to.
