Another avy death in the BC yesterday...

Ski In Peace. I read his comments on the Wasatch thread on TGR the day before, it's very chilling. I was in BCC the same day with an avy class, and based on what I saw I would not have wanted to ski anything steep that day.

alecs was a young stud always a smile and a zest to get after it.Not sure why or what they found in the pit and observation from the argenta headwall a few days before that would place you in such a high consequence line given these conditions, but it's not for me to acqb.

Alec and a lot of us were blessed last season with the conditions conducive to slaying classic bc lines.

aint that way yet this year and may not unless we get some serious snow, or in the spring when the pack goes isothermal.

shred on Alx88 you will be missed and remembered.

Vibes to his fam and those who knew him better than I

Yeah I remember reading those comments too and then when I pieced it together and figured out he was the fatality it definitely hit home. I was across the road in BCC touring Saturday over in Butler's Fork in some low angle trees and saw a chopper flying around but didn't think anything of it... chilling in hindsight now that I know what it was doing.

I have my Avy 1 Thurs-Sun this week, we'll def have no shortage of things to talk about...
