Another ACL Thread - re-tear?

Hello, I had ACL reconstruction 6.5 months ago (right knee - Hammy graft) I was in the gym 5 days a week and definitely very strong and close to retuning to skiing. The other day in a snow storm I was outside and slipped on ice hidden under the fresh snow. It was a controlled fall but then I found myself sliding down a hill and hitting a tree..... I sprained my foot mildly on the impact (right foot - surgery leg) and think I messed my knee again.. I am hoping for the best but prepared for the worst and extremely scared. So I just want to know - who out there has had ACL surgery twice on the same knee (revision surgery)? I know there a definitely a few but I would just like to hear some stories of people who have come back strong after a failed ACL reconstruction.

i just retore my ACL after having surgery to repair it in 2014. It felt the exact same as the first time i did it, i felt the pop, had some buckling, and then it swelled up the next day. so if it doesn't feel pretty similar to the first time you did it, chances are you're ok.

I've only torn mine once, but I've definitely had a few scares like that. Like the dude above said, if it doesn't feel like it did the first time you're probably fine. That being said, be careful with it. Definitely worth getting it checked out and taking it easy for a while if you really think its re-torn, but it's likely just mental.

I didn't hear a pop, but it definitely feels more unstable than it did last week before I hit the tree lol, also pain when weight is on my heel

Do you wear a CTI knee brace. I broke my tibia plateau wakeboarding and all the docs recommended that one specifically.

I have a DonJoy that I was saving to wear while skiing for my first months back.
